§ Responsible for executing CFD analysis of ventilation systems with medium to high complexity, with focus to balance air flow circuits, optimise fan/blower operation, and optimise duct work geometry and sizing.
§ Perform the CHT analysis of fin and plate heat exchanger to extract temperature, HTC and pressure drop data for supporting the NPD and Engineering excellence.
§ Skilfully adapt to evolving design requirements through proactive collaboration with the Design Engineer and other professionals involved in the project.
§ Draft CFD reports summarising project objectives, approach, findings, conclusions and recommendation for the design changes.
§ Resolve technical issues tracked after running the simulation; coordinating with the software technical support team to understand the advancements in new versions of the software
Key responsibilities: -
§ Conducted CFD performance analysis of oil-free and oil-flooded screw compressor and its subsystems including Gas oil separation tank, valves, coolers, pipes, fan, blower, Pump and compressor package by using Ansys CFX and Fluent to support the IR’s i2V, NPD, VAVE, and Engineering excellence.
§ Responsible for geometry clean-up, constructing fluid model, hex & polyhedral mesh generation, physics set-up, run the simulation on high performance cluster and post-processing the results.
§ Drafted CFD reports summarising project objectives, approach, findings, conclusions and recommendation for the design changes.
§ Resolved technical issues tracked after running the simulation; coordinating with the software technical support team to understand the advancements in new versions of the software.
§ Created accurate and detailed CFD design guide for future reference
- Develop CAD model for CFD/FEA analysis ( CATIA, Ansys Workbench)
- Generate Mesh (2D/3D, Hexa/Tetra) for Analysis (ICEM CFD, Ansys Meshing)
- Perform the accurate CFD/FEA analysis for various Engineering problems (Steady/Transient, Internal/External flow, Multiphase, Heat transfer, CHT, Reacting flows (Combustion, Gasification), fatigue analysis, modal analysis, dynamic analysis etc.
- Attending team meeting and client meeting to discuss about design techniques and issues.
- Perform technical design reviews and recommend improvements
- Create accurate and detailed report of CFD/FEA results and Maintain complete documentation for CFD/FEA analysis.
- Complete the task within time frame.
