My responsibilities as mechanical design engineer are creating data sheets and materials requisition for static and package equipment. The main responsibility is communication between other disciplines which includes collecting data required accordingly from each department ( process, piping, electrical, civil, instrumentation, metallurgy), and communicating with vendors in order to approach best quality and cost effective goals for clients.
I voluntarily worked as maintenance engineer at Abdullah Hashim Industrial Gases and equipment Company located in Dammam first industrial city. My Duties involves checking, repairing and servicing machinery, equipment, systems and infrastructures
I was in charge of cleaning lab instruments, sterilizing the test area, calibrating test equipment, keeping inventory of lab equipment, and following safety procedures when handling dangerous chemicals. Laboratory assistants also ensure that the laboratory is stocked with the necessary supplies.
Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment.
Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of
inspection.
Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulation.
Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
Mechanical Engineers studies covered are planning and designing tools, handling equipment, machines and other mechanically functioning equipment. This will involve 3D modeling, analysis, selecting, and troubleshooting materials used in mechanical applications along with modification, installation, operation, maintenance and repair of equipment.
