A. October 2008 - present as a Olefins Operator at Saudi Yanbu Petrochemical Company.
Saudi Yanbu Petrochemical Company is a one of SABIC Affiliate that located in red sea coast of Yanbu Industrial City. In this company I am working in Ethylene Unit..
hot section, compressor section, refrigeration section, and cold section. In turn, each of these sections consists of several system: - Hot Section contains 4 system: Feed Preheater and Sulfide Injection; Furnaces Cracking Heater; Quench Tower and Water Settler; and Dilution Steam and Dispersed Oil Extractor (DOX)
- The Compressor Section contains 3 system: Charge Gas Compressor; Acid Gas Removal; and Charge Gas Dryer.
- The Refrigeration Section contains 8 system: Chilling Train; Demethanizer; Hydrogen Treating; Fuel Gas; Propylene and Ethylene Refrigeration; and Flare.
- The Cold Section contains 6 system: Deethanizer; Acetylene Hydrogenation; Ethylene Green Oil Absorber and Ethylene Dryer; Ethylene Fractionator; Ethylene Product Handling; Liquid Ethylene Storage and Vaporization; and Depropylenizer.
My daily activities: 1. Checking around the unit area and recording any process parameter in the Reading Log Book twice daily.
2. Making some corrective action as required that discussed with Boardman Control and Shift Supervisor.
3. Routine shutting down the Cracking Furnace Heater following Standard Operating Procedure as required for periodically maintenance.
4. I am issued Work Permit for Maintenance including Cold Work Permit, Hot Work Permit and Confined Space Entry Permit.
5. I am familiar doing PSV removal and reinstalled due to Preventive Maintenance (PM) check.
6. I am familiar doing switch over pump turbine or motor driven and cleaning suction strainer and put on service again.
7. I am familiar with safety procedure during issuing work permit such as doing gas test, Lock-Out and Tag Out, Do Not Operate Tag as required related with the jobs.
8. Doing switch steam generator, reboiler, Acetylene Converter and filter.
9. Familiar doing critical job that have risk for interlock shut down of Compressor such as isolated instrument transmitter for PM check.
10. I am familiar issued work permit for blinding, welding, loading unloading chemical material from truck to drums.
11. I am familiar isolated Heat Exchanger and issued work permit to cleaning by hydrojetting and put on service again.
12. I am doing all jobs as per Boardman request or Shift Supervisor.
Experience Facing Cases: 1. Shutting down the plant smoothly and safely due to air failure or cooling water failure.
2. Rain hard following total power failure causes plant shut down also occurred fire in furnace heater that melted all the coils, at that time I am involved to fight the fire until plant is under control.
3. Start up Charge Gas Compressor and Refrigerator Compressor and start up plant until normal running and product on-spect.
Achievement: 1. Selected as a best man worker for 2nd quarter 2010.
2. Promoted as a Boardman in CONSOLE C
