• Responsible for the development, and management of security department including all related system and policies for Jabal Sayid Operations, to enable the business to meet its long and short term business objectives on a daily basis.
• Assign and manage service commitments to be provided to the operation.
• Review progress against plans and commitments regularly and update accordingly.
• Cascade plan and objectives through the team to ensure all activities are focused on agreed outcomes.
• Reporting:
• Review and monitor all department safety, service level and financial performance indicators and initiate corrective action where necessary.
• Ensure security strategies and audit action plans are appropriately resourced on site.
• Ensure that an appropriate hand over of security matters, including security hardware operation and security procedures, be conducted by the site upon turnover of staff that have involvement with security functions.
• Ensure that security procedures manuals in accordance with these security standards are held on site.
• Ensuring compliance with all reporting requirements related to the security system or security events and making this information available in timely manner to legitimate parties who require the information.
• Ensure all department personnel are adequately inducted in their work area and are aware of all workplace rules and critical procedures.
• Actively contribute to safety policy and new initiatives and implement change as directed by the General Manager.
• Hold monthly safety meeting with department personnel and ensure the agreed action plans are achieved.
• Develop and promote a pro-active safety culture by the identification, development, dissemination and review of safe practices and procedures and by ensuring the awareness of all departmental personnel.
• Actively promote, monitor and enforce compliance of personnel with safe work practices.
• Ensure the department has an inspection program and monitor program compliance and inspection feedback monthly.
• Ensure all incidents are reported and investigated according to company and statutory requirements and all recommended corrective action are completed.
• Ensure all health and hygiene risks in the work areas are identified and controlled.
• Develop and manage system to enable to achievement of the strategic plans. Where site-wide or corporate system exists, implement these to suit the objectives and needs of the Company.
