- Refurbishment of Commercial Areas as well as buildings. My main responsibility is to set up and manage the HSE department in the company as well as helping managing some of the projects as a Construction Manager with involvement controlling the supply chain.
I am developing the HSE management system, including HSE plan, Policies and procedures, dealing with labor representatives as well as HSE responsible from client side, ensuring that all the activities of the company are aligned with the legal and client requirements and developing some specific company requirements to be able to reach the excellence in our service.
Due to the small size of the company, around 100 workers, I have to take care of some of the projects as well to complete my working hours. Acting as a Construction Manager I have to oversee the quality of the design, material supply, subcontractors, our own staff and workers and ensure that our activities are following the planning. There is a particular situation in most of the projects that we manage, the commercial areas remain open while we carry out the refurbishment works, this condition is forcing us to plan and constantly coordinate with the Client to ensure that the activities are not disturbing the people while shopping.

HSE Manager in the Project Management Team, working as a Client representative (Supreme Committee and Qatar Foundation) for the construction of People Movement System, Light Rail that will be the public system to connect the Doha Metro Station with all the buildings in Education City and QF Stadium, one of the stadiums to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup. As PMC HSE Manager I am involved in all client interfaces meetings and I am responsible to implement their requirements in Contractor’s Management System. Guiding ASTAD HSE team (5 HSE Inspectors) to oversee the Construction Supervision Consultant for the project and Main Contractor performance as well. I am part of the Tender Evaluation team for the Technical revision and I am also responsible to review and approve Plans, Method Statements, Material Submittals and all HSE related documentation. It is part of our to follow up that CDM requirements are fulfilled according QCS 2014 in Design Stage and act as a Welfare Manager to ensure that the Welfare Facilities are matching Qatar Foundation and Supreme Committee of Legacy Worker’s Welfare Requirements.

As PMCM I am involved in all client interfaces meetings and I am the maximum responsible to implement their requirements in our Management System. My main responsibility is to design develop and implement a proper HSE Management System to ensure that QCS 2014, International Standards and all contract requirements are implemented. Guiding ASTAD HSE team (2Sr. HSE Engineers) we are overseeing the Construction Supervision Consultant responsible of each QEZ ensuring that they are carrying out all the tasks included in the Roles & Responsibilities included in their contract, auditing them as a part of ASTAD responsibilities and working closed to them to monitor main contractors performance. Working under BSI 6164:2011 (Code of practice for health and safety in tunneling in the construction industry) in the "Strategic Tunnel Enhancement Program (STEP) T-01" for Abu Dhabi Sewerage Services Company (ADSSC), with three EPB TBM of 5 meters diameter (supplied by Kawasaki) and CPL (Corrosion protection lining) works in tunnel, NATM tunnel for the connection between Access Shaft and main tunnel.
