Lead the Project Teams of:
NXTRA Data Center @ IT SIPCOT, Siruseri, Chennai, India (Overall Capacity of 40 MW; Day 1 - 10 MW / 2300 TR), the project is
under construction & scheduled for completion by August 21 (Project Value - INR. 2 Billion / USD 28 Million)
Key Result Areas:
• Spearheading end-to-end Construction Management & Project Planning activities including development of vendor
database, formulation of contract strategies, management of tenders including negotiations & so on
• Defining the PMO strategy and leading the concept as well as implementation of a common project management
methodology, with standards and tools to drive and facilitate the successful delivery of projects
• Managing end-to-end projects (including all construction, renovation, refurbishment and maintenance activities)
encompassing planning, design, estimation, scope definition, finalization of techno-commercial aspects and implementing
quality standards
• Indulging in managing disputes settlement as well as claims and escalations in the projects
• Documenting and maintaining cash flow statements and cost to completion reports and overhead costs
• Creating budgets & conducting variance analysis to determine difference between projected figures & actual expenditure
and implementing corrective actions; identifying & analyzing root cause of areas of variance; recommending & implementing
corrective measures
• Understanding specific requirements of projects by preparing work breakdown structure and reviewing subcontractor
requisition from Project Team
• Supervising Quality Management Systems across various stages of procurement to reduce rejection levels and ensuring
high quality standards in construction by maintaining Documentation & Data Management
• Maintaining & reviewing general contract and subcontract / suppliers documents and ensuring all contractual
obligations are dealt appropriately
• Reviewing, commenting & approving method statements, material transmittals, prequalification and shop drawings
submitted by subcontractors
• Drafting various MIS reports (EVM reports, critical action reports & Risk analysis reports) to clients and internal
management and appraising the management regarding progress & areas of risk for immediate action
• Estimating preliminary cost for construction and upgradation; invitation, evaluating proposals & appointing contractors
• Heading the Estimation Department as an interim additional responsibility and successfully winning major projects
