Funding Facility for Stabilization (FFS) - West-Mosul team
• Managed the successful implementation of 24 projects in Mosul for the FFS, UNDP’s largest infrastructure project worldwide (1.3 bln across Iraq). Projects include the rehabilitation or full reconstruction of the Shifaa complex blood bank, the Radiology hospital, the Ninewa water directorate building, 7 Police Stations, 4 primary and secondary schools and 4 132 KV and 4 33/11 KV substations; 2 road paving projects; 3 sewerage pipeline and 1 culverts repair project. Also supervised projects for the installation of furniture and specialized equipment, and +10 cash-for-work projects.
• Supervised a 30 Mosul-based and international companies to undertake the works above. Ensured compliance with timeline and budget, designs and work plans, health and safety, quality of materials and preventing corruption. Undertook on-site liaison with end-user directorates.
• Supervised 18 quality control engineers (QAQC) during project implementation.
• Drafted and developed Bills of Quantity (BoQs) and designs, scope of works, pricing and price assessments and Variation Orders (VO) where required. Undertook final measurements and ensured completion of ‘punch list’ items, payment documentation and project closure.
• Also, appointed by the UNDP country office in Baghdad to Lead a team of 15 engineers in the distribution and installation of 54 autoclaved shredders (World Bank-funded) for the PHCCs in Northern Iraq cities (Erbil, Duhok, Kirkuk, Sulaymaniyah, and Ninawa). The task involved site preparation for the shredder rooms, liaising with the MoH Focal Persons for each City, overseeing contractors, and conducting end-user trainings.

• Site engineer on the Kavar City project on Shaqlawa road, to construct 60 houses, 17 villas, and two 8-floor recreational complexes (motel, restaurant, swimming pool etc.)
• Responsible for appointing the borders and levels of all the foundations of houses and other facilities, in close collaboration with the company surveyor.
• Supervising the subcontractors during all steps in construction of the houses, from casting to bricklaying, water and electrical supply, sewerage system installation, form works, steel works, roof casting and finishing works (plastering, tiles, painting, decoration etc.)
• Measuring work progress and calculating payments to subcontractors.
• Writing health and safety procedures, ensuring all HSE measures on-site were followed, and reporting on any breaches of the rules and accidents on-site.
