MRC has two main production factories which are Can Recycling Unit (CRU) & Rolling Mill Unit. Main final products are Automotive Sheet Coils & Beverage Can Coils. Accordingly, customer satisfaction is major KPI & target to be achieved. Engineering department is an enabler department to achieve the desired KPIs since it has following sections:
• Engineering Section.
• Operation Technology (OT) - IPS Section.
• Reliability Section.
• Quality Control (QC) Section.
As Engineering Manager, following are my main technical responsibilities:
• Chairman of all Management of Changes (MOC) as per the MSHEM applicable codes.
• Chairman of all CAPEX, Growth & Sustaining Projects.
• Business Continuity (BC) Champion.
• Deploy Reliability Excellence best practices to ensure better asset integrity, maintenance KPIs & minimize the encountered cost of corrective actions.
• Effective QC as per relevant ISO so there will be no customer complain.
• Effective OT IPS to have better manufacturing control through MES & Automation.
• Participate in MRC KPIs proposing, review & deployment. MRC governor for all technical interfaces with other Ma’aden affiliates.
• Risk Management (RM) Champion to identify & evaluate all possible internal & external risks.
• Cyber Security Champion to assure the OT system is very adequate, up to date & secure from any cyber-attack.
• Leading MRC Business Development Assessment Study.
• Leading the implementation & close out of all identified Audit items.
• Representing MRC management in some internal & external meetings.

Maaden is working on enhancing its both Shared Services & Business Core Processes that are used in all Maaden affiliates to be global mining pioneer and digitally enabled organization. Accordingly, Maaden Transformation Program (MTP) was initiated to drive this initiative to its successful journey. MTP management decided to assign me leading the MTP Communication activities which are majorly following:
• Organize scheduled milestones & accomplishments for both internal & external communication coverage.
• Develop the appropriate communication strategy.
• Work with IBM Specialist in creating innovative, visually appealing brand website to raise MTP profile.
• Produce creative communication contents such as graphics, animated videos, posters, ...
• Spread highly selective giveaways that are reflecting MTP profile.
• Conduct & arrange multiple site visits for all 5 affiliates along with some project’s leaders.
• Coordinate with all Maaden affiliates' representatives to reflect the developed contents on the available and transparent communication channels.
• Captured audience awareness & engagement levels to the change.
• Developed and delivered integrated social media campaigns to capture the readiness to change, training progress & go live.

Maintenance Engineering Superintendent leading four units which are Maintenance Engineering, Design Services & Document Control, Quality Management, Spare parts and Technical Material Management. The major responsibilities are as follow:
Management Responsibilities: • Decision maker with high confident and self-dependency to resolve all concerns.
Enhance the safety awareness and compliance either individuals or business related. • Successfully merge and collaborate the four units. • Initiate and lead the Smelter Maintenance Engineering Internal Audit. • Assisting other departments in multiple requests related to Maintenance, quality, design and document control, reliability & planning. • Tracking & reviewing all units' assignments deliverables to the end users' satisfaction. • Enhance the cost saving methodology by reducing the additional scope change requests. • Enhance the quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) in the Engineering deliverables. • Contribute on many alignment meetings with other MA departments to assure the mutual agreement that will have its beneficial outcomes on the unit deliverables. • Positive contribution and valuable initiatives to achieve MA KPIs such as safety, team work, cost reduction and integrity. • Leading SM standard standardization process. • Development of all units' personnel as per the gap assessment criteria. • Resolving all units' personnel concerns.
Main Deliverables: • Assisting maintenance team in troubleshooting and corrective maintenance. • Developing needed scope of work for repair, inspect, overhaul and design change. • Technical clarification and evaluation for all received technical bids. • Assisting in shutdown, Turn Around (TA) and isolation process. • Participating in RCM sessions.
• Developing all types of SWIs i.e. RCM, PM, Task based. • Leading Bad Actor (BA) studies and RCAs. • Executing all recommended actions from BAs and RCAs. • Initiate and follow up NODs till completion. • Assisting proponent in MOC scope development. • Developing the TA strategy and execution methodology for best and safe execution considering activities, equipment, manpower, tools and spare parts availability. • Reviewing all material data sheets and specification assuring its acceptance for the needed application. • Creating multiple innovative ideas that will have cost, safety and quality impacts. • Participate in spare parts data enrichment and material management.

Project Engineering Superintendent leading three units which are Project Engineering, Design Services & Document Control. The major responsibilities are as follow:
Management Responsibilities:
• Decision maker with high confident and self-dependency to resolve all concerns. • Enhance the safety awareness and compliance either individuals or business related. • Energetic and knowledgeable on the Project Engineering aspects. • Successfully merge and collaborate the three Smelter Project Engineering sub-units (Project Engineering, Designing Services and Document Control). • Initiate and lead the Smelter Project Engineering Internal Audit: Documentation & Inspection. • Assisting other departments in multiple requests related to project, design and document control. • Tracking & reviewing all units' assignments deliverables to the end users' satisfaction. • Enhance the cost saving methodology by reducing the additional scope change requests. • Enhance the quality assurance and quality control of all Smelter Project Engineering deliverables. • Contribute on many alignment meetings with other MA departments to assure the mutual agreement that will have its beneficial outcomes on the projects/unit deliverables.
• Positive contribution and valuable initiatives to achieve MA KPIs such as safety, teamwork, cost reduction and integrity. • Assist in reviewing annual SM&CH CAPEX plan with monthly update to lead team. • Enhancing multiple Project related processes with their workflows, forms & procedures such as: MPMP, MAPCS, Project Costing Module, Asset Creation, Engineering Service Requests. • Automate all Engineering Services (Project, Maintenance & Design Services). • Development of all units' personnel as per the gap assessment criteria. • Resolving all units' personnel concerns.
Projects' Main Deliverables: • Develop and review the needed projects' scopes along with proponents. • Review the engineering packages which either been delivered in house or by an engineering services office (GES). • Conduct weekly progress review meetings with GES to achieve the project's milestones. • Assure the engineering deliverables will consider MTO, QA\QC, constructability method, specification, risk assessment and land permit authorization. • Secure the ± 10% budget from management. • Agree on the contract type (LSTK, LSPB, Cost plus, …etc.) • Conduct the KOM with the construction agency and agree on the project's deliverables as per the schedule, scope and quality. • Conduct weekly construction progress review meetings to monitor and control the project's milestones. • Align & coordinate with all concerned departments to assure the startup readiness. • Complete all scope needed punch list items prior approval of Mechanical Completion Certificate (MCC). • Perform the commissioning and startup along with operation, maintenance and other concerns. • Grant the project acceptance certificate (PAC). • Assure the FAT & SAT will be witnessed by certified 3rd party inspectors. • Perform project financial close out.
Other Engineering Support: • Leading two (2) Root Cause Analysis investigations.
Maintenance Engineering Support: 1. Develop standard working instruction (SWI) to many processes in the plant either static or rotating facilities. 2. Involvement in some process investigations. 3. Participated in RCM sessions.
Technical or Process Engineering Support: 1. Involvement in some process development or enhancement. 2. Assist in purifying the gas from black powder. 3. Assist in purifying the gas from H2S contamination. Implementation of my master thesis. 4. Assist in de-bottle neck study for the Power Creep study. 5. Execute multiple projects which are based on process enhancement or change in operation parameters.

Project Engineer for multiple EPC projects. The major responsibilities are managing the projects as per scheduled milestones and resolve technical issues as per standards. Those projects are: • BI-10-00739: Installing Surge Facilities in Rabigh Marine Area. • BI-10-00806: Install Gas Filter station in Yanbu. • BI-10-00421: Install Pipeline to Riyadh Refinery. • BI-10-1067: Install Pipeline from Khursanyiah to Ras Khair. • BI-10-00903: Sales Gas Pipeline Project in Jubail.
Major responsibilities & involvement: • Leading the project design phases which are conceptual and basic engineering and assure all engineering deliverables will be granted. • Select the equipment specification as per the designed operation process. For instance, pipeline, valves, compressors, pumps or turbines based on the process parameters and surface conditions. • Perform 3D modules to explain the process flow and stages. • Perform all project engineer responsibilities such as coordination, reviewing, communication, presentation, follow up and leading meetings. • Conduct project engineering review sessions with project's concerned parties to assure the project engineering
deliverables are based on the desired and approved SOW before proceeding the project execution phase. • Submit the project ± 10 % project budget plan. • Perform the bid technical review and evaluation for all execution bidders. • Leading & supervising the project execution considering the execution methodology as per EHS, Quality management, Material management & project interfaces. • Performing project Mechanical Completion Walk Through with all concerns and assure all items under category A to be completed so MCC will be approved. • Commissioning assistance until project turnover to proponent will be announced.

Maintenance Engineer in Tanajeeb. The major responsibilities are: • Theoretical and experimental achievement of master thesis. • Explore more knowledge on the rotating equipment field. • Participate in multiple investigation on rotating equipment failures or maintenance issues. • Dry test for many rotating equipment. • Involvement of reviewing the data sheets of pumps, turbines and compressors.

Operation Engineer in Pump Stations # 6 &7. The major responsibilities are: • Initiate and review the isolation, startup, mothballing, commissioning procedures and Job Safety Analysis reports. • Investigate plant trips and issue monthly trip reports. • Identify, review, evaluate and study the process need for new projects in the plant. • Perform the commissioning and start-up activities for ongoing process projects. • Follow up on the execution of the plant ongoing projects. • Participate in Safety inspections to report and correct unsafe practices.
