Head Coordinator cum Vice Principal at Al Azhar International School and College
  • Bangladesh - Dhaka
  • My current job since July 2022

In my role as Head Coordinator, I have the privilege of overseeing all aspects of my institution, both academic and administrative. This involves wearing many hats and juggling a variety of responsibilities. One of my primary duties is to train and guide our teachers, helping them to develop and implement effective lesson plans that engage and challenge our students.

In addition to training our teachers, I am also responsible for designing the school curriculum and preparing academic syllabi that align with our institution's goals and objectives. I closely monitor classes to ensure that our teachers are delivering quality instruction and that our students are meeting their learning objectives.

Assessing our teachers is another key responsibility of mine. I regularly evaluate their performance and provide feedback to help them improve their teaching effectiveness. This includes guiding them on how to better engage with students, encouraging critical thinking and creativity, and identifying areas for professional development.

One of the most exciting parts of my job is organizing and hosting events that promote a sense of community and belonging within our institution. These events can range from academic competitions to cultural festivals, and they provide an opportunity for our students to showcase their talents and develop important social skills.

As a Head Coordinator, I also work closely with our account and admin departments to ensure that our institution runs smoothly and efficiently. My experience with MS Office and Adobe Illustrator has proved to be particularly useful in this area, as I am able to design dynamic Excel sheets and book or event portfolios that help streamline our administrative processes.

Ultimately, my goal as Head Coordinator is to ensure the success of our institution and the learning outcomes of our students. Through careful planning, collaboration, and attention to detail, I am confident that we can continue to provide an excellent education for our students and help them achieve their full potential.

Senior English Teacher at Iqra Foundation
  • Bangladesh - Dhaka
  • January 2019 to July 2022

During my time at Iqra Foundation, I was given the incredible opportunity to work closely with both the students and their parents, which proved to be instrumental in shaping me as a teacher. As an English Teacher, I was responsible for teaching the English Language under the NCTB curriculum, creating lesson plans, executing them effectively, designing assessment questions, and grading students' work.

My approach to teaching emphasized a holistic view of language learning, with an emphasis on helping students develop their reading, writing, and spoken skills. I aimed to create a classroom environment that was engaging and dynamic, encouraging students to participate actively in discussions and activities that developed their critical thinking and communication skills.

One of the highlights of my tenure at Iqra Foundation was my introduction of the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) to my students. I believed that this was an essential tool for students to develop better pronunciation and distinguish between sounds and commonly confused words. The IPA proved to be a valuable asset in the classroom, and I made it a point to ensure that every student understood its importance and how to use it effectively.

Throughout my time as an English Teacher at Iqra Foundation, I also learned the importance of building strong relationships with students and their parents. I found that this helped create a positive learning environment and allowed me to better understand and cater to the needs of my students. By working closely with parents, I was able to provide personalized feedback and recommendations to help students improve their English language skills.

Overall, my experience at Iqra Foundation taught me a lot about teaching, language learning, and the importance of building strong relationships with students and their families. I remain grateful for the opportunities I had and the lessons I learned during my time there.
