*Planning:
1. Develops / oversees the development of an effective Supply Chain Management Strategy catering to the needs of various Al-Khozama employees and the corresponding Line of Business (LoB) / Department.
2. Draws up implementation plans detailing procurement staging, forecasted tender timelines etc. based on the overall strategy.

*Policies & Procedures:
1. Develops / optimizes and oversees the implementation of best-in-class policies and procedures to govern the tendering, inventory and procurement process for materials, goods and services.
2. Establishes and manages the implementation of guidelines for service delivery that ensures provision of timely, effective and professional support to LoB / Department and Al-Khozama employees.
3. Ensures the development and implementation of an effective and efficient Governance Policy corresponding to various activities performed by Supply Chain Management.
4. Develops / ensures the development of policies procedures and guidelines pertaining to Vendor Management, Inventory Management and Contract Management.
5. Identifies key metrics to be used to assess the functional performance; ensures collection and reporting of requisite data.

*Corporate Supply Chain Operations:
1. Participates in key evaluation committees to identify, evaluate and select vendors and contractors for goods / services.
2. Directs, manages and monitors negotiations with suppliers of major services and critical contracts about prices, credit terms and other conditions of the agreement along with the relevant LoB / Department.
3. Supervises the preparation of tender and contracting documents, ensuring that the necessary conditions are built into contracts and providing written justifications for all verified orders (or deviations) as per standard documentation, policies and procedures in coordination with the General Counsel.
4. Oversees the due diligence for new contractors and suppliers according to the defined prequalification criteria, and maintains the list of approved contractors and suppliers.
5. Ensures effective inventory management; for goods / supplies; to enable effective functioning of all internal Departments in a smooth and uninterrupted manner.
6. Ensures / Verifies and approves purchase orders, letters of credit and other related documents based on vendor selection procedures and ensures their completion.
7. Periodically audits the processes being followed for tendering and procurement to identify any deviations and assess corresponding risks.
8. Coordinates (when required) with concerned LoB / Departments with respect to various functional requirements pertaining to Procurement, Inventory Management & Tendering.

*Managerial Responsibilities:
1. Develops the strategic plan for the Section in line with the overall organizational priorities.
2. Develops, cascades and monitors goals and key metrics for reportees.
3. Forecasts, seeks relevant approvals and manages adherence to the Section budgets (including manpower).
4. Defines the operating framework and policies for the Section and ensures compliance with internal quality standards.
5. Ensures smooth coordination and alignment with other Line of Business (LoB) / Departments.

*People Management:
1. Manages the performance of direct reports through clarifying performance objectives/ KPIs, monitoring progress and providing feedback on an ongoing basis.
2. Provides coaching along with development inputs and opportunities to direct reports in order to build their skills towards improving their performance as well as potential.

1. Ensures through his/her actions, either directly or indirectly, that a superior quality of medical treatment, compassion and understanding is given to every patient served at the Prince Sultan Cardiac Center.

3. To review and make final approval for requesting stock and non-stock items from Purchasing.
4. Plan and participate in spot checking inventory of stock items and check other areas of interest like warehouse hygiene, safely stocking standards, etc.
5. Liaise with Warehouse, Purchasing, Computer & I.T. Services and User Department to make sure that items procurement is done according to the Governmental rules and regulations.
6. To review all stock reports like over stock, nil stock, short expiry, etc. and make sure that the right actions are taken.
7. To review all transaction of Property Control Section and make sure that all needed actions are taken correctly and all supported documents are filed in the right placed.
8. Make study and analysis in regards to annual inventory and prepare the needed reports.
9. To participate in the Committees that determine the stock levels in the sub stores and any other Committees as needed.

1.Plans and generates stock requisitions (PRs) of all cost centers assigned to ensure availability of stock item required for the smooth operation of the project.

2.Reviews stock on hand levels to prevent NIL stock situations and with close coordination with the respective department regarding critical stock items.

3.Reviews on monthly basis all inventory items assigned which an expiration date exists and takes necessary actions to follow standard procedure in order to eliminate wastage.

4.Ensures that all Materials request (Internal Requisition) and of all Regions are processed/approved in a timely manner to avoid disruption of operation.

5.Responsible for selection of products to be purchased on contract basis for 3 years with close coordination with the end user and Tender Section.

6.Maintains liaison with expeditors and buyers with regards to nil/critical stocks supply requirements.

7.Develops forecast methodologies and practices consistent with efficient planning management practices.

8.Prepares product evaluation for new substitute product and sent it to end user for review/approval and update the system accordingly.

9.Provides assistance in solving supply problems by giving information on the availability of the items needed and offer substitute as required and assist in identifying items carried in stock inventory.

10.Solicits availability of supplies from other Hospitals during emergency/urgent supply requirements.

11.Responsible in checking if any or all of the items requested on Special Purchase Requisition (SPR) are available on stock.
