I am in charge in doing preventive maintenance, trouble shooting and repairing in wide range of rotating equipment's such as gas turbine, pumps, air and gas compressors, blowers and fans
24 years experienced in Gas Plants, Oil & LNG refineries and oil gathering installations. Leading man and supervise on filed major job. Responsible for equipment commissioning, predictive, and preventive & breakdown maintenance and performed safeguarding of related records. Recommends modifications of equipment parts to improve performance, reliability, reduce maintenance cost and minimize down time without jeopardizing safety. Do Trained and supported new technicians specially the Libyan nationals.
Basic function:
Responsible for the observance of safe work practice in the field and workshop areas and
ensuring that the personnel under my jurisdiction follow applicable safety procedures and
regulations
Ensures that all installation and repair work is carried out according to the appropriate
standards and codes of practices and that the workforce under my command is educated in
the application at such standards
Undertakes the maintenance, repair and testing of a wide variety of mechanical equipment.
This includes, but is not limited to, single and multi-stage pumps of all types and for various
services including centrifugal, reciprocating, screw, vane, gear, axial piston, etc.; centrifugal
gas compressors, including high horsepower multi-stage and tandem case units; motor drives
in a wide range of sizes and types; air compressor systems, blowers, fans, heat exchangers,
coolers, lubrication systems, gear drives, speed increasers, mechanical & hydraulic power
transmission systems
Assisted in the maintenance of files & records pertaining to that installed equipment
Carried out efficient remedial action to correct mechanical malfunction or failure on a 24-hour
basis.
Works closely with local trainees & monitors training progress
Analyses machinery faults and makes recommendations regarding corrective action
Understands the Company’s warehousing system & stock control methods. Prepares stock withdrawal orders on a daily basis
Performed high standards of housekeeping, both within the workshop area and the site. Educates trainees in suitable methods. Skilled thorough understanding of lifting devices & associated equipment as related to job position; ensures that all such equipment is in good condition prior to use.
