Roles/Duties/Responsibilities
• Develop, approve, and execute HSSE / HSE / Sustainability strategies aligned with corporate, ESG, and national objectives (e.g., Vision 2030).
• Integrate HSSE, Sustainability & Operational Excellence into business strategy, operational planning, and investment decisions.
• Advise executive management and boards on risk exposure, compliance status, and strategic HSSE matters.
• Lead the design, implementation, and continual improvement of integrated management systems aligned with: ISO 45001 (OH&S), ISO 14001 (Environment) & ISO 9001 (Quality).
• Provide executive oversight of enterprise HSSE risk management, including: High‑risk activities & Major accident hazard (MAH).
• Lead and govern serious incident, HiPo, and fatality investigations, ensuring robust root‑cause analysis.
• Ensure organizational readiness for emergencies, environmental incidents, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
• Lead ESG data governance and support corporate sustainability reporting (GRI, ESG scorecards, internal KPIs).
• Lead responses to regulatory inspections, third‑party audits, and client HSSE reviews.
• Approve competency frameworks, training strategies, and succession planning for HSSE leadership.
• Mentor senior managers and promote HSSE ownership at all leadership levels.
• Sponsor digitalization of HSSE systems, dashboards, and analytics tools.
• Develop, optimize & control HSSE budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources.

Brief;
I worked with NOMAC-ACWA Power at the Qurayyah Independent Power Plant (IPP) as Maintenance Section Head. Qurayyah IPP is a large‑scale combined cycle gas‑fired power plant located on the eastern coast of Saudi Arabia, with a net generation capacity of 3, 927 MW, making it one of the largest IPP combined‑cycle power plants in the world.

Key Achievements
• Reorganized the Mechanical Department and central workshop, establishing structured development plans, clear performance targets, and governance frameworks that supported operational reliability and aligned with NOMAC excellence standards.
• Designed and implemented a comprehensive On‑the‑Job Training (OJT) program, significantly strengthening workforce competency, skills transfer, and quality assurance across all maintenance personnel.
• Established an integrated plant‑wide Bill of Materials (BOM) program, covering all equipment and systems, improving spare‑parts management, maintenance planning, and asset reliability.
• Developed and managed an integrated maintenance budget, conducting regular reviews to ensure alignment with plant operational needs, cost optimization, and long‑term equipment integrity.

Brief;
I worked with MARAFIQ as a Mechanical Engineer and Safety Champion. In this role, I supported the company’s responsibility for managing and operating critical utility assets, including activities at the Berri Gas Station, as well as providing oversight and supervision of JAWP‑IWPP (Independent Water & Power Plant).

Key Achievements
• Obtained an internationally accredited trainer license, qualifying as one of MARAFIQ’s approved trainers, and contributing to workforce capability development and knowledge transfer.
• Actively participated in the installation of Water Separator Filters at the MARAFIQ Berri facility, supporting operational efficiency, system reliability, and process safety.
• Contributed to fuel pipeline scraping and wrapping activities, ensuring pipeline integrity, corrosion protection, and compliance with safety and engineering standards.
• Selected as a MARAFIQ Safety Champion, promoting safe behaviors, reporting culture, and continuous improvement across operations.
• Served as a member of the Internal Audit Team, verifying departmental compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements, and supporting continuous improvement and audit readiness.

I worked as a Maintenance Mechanical Engineer with DHURUMA O&M Company, a subsidiary of ENGIE. PP11 - IPP is a combined‑cycle gas turbine (GT) and steam turbine (ST) power plant located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with a net generation capacity of 1, 756 MW.

Key Achievements
• Successfully completed the Professional Development Program (PDP), passing all required examinations and demonstrating strong technical and professional competence.
• Awarded “Best Employee” in recognition of successfully training and developing OJT candidates from PP12 (Saudi Electricity Company), contributing to workforce capability building and cross‑organizational knowledge transfer.
• Served as a volunteer member of the Firefighting Team and Safety Committee at PP11, actively supporting emergency preparedness, safety awareness, and incident prevention initiatives.
• Participated in all major plant shutdown inspections, including Combustion, Hot Gas Path (HGP), Major, and Major Inspection Cycle (MIC) outages, ensuring compliance, equipment integrity, and operational reliability.

Brief;
I worked as a Mechanical Engineer at King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) with Saudi Binladin Group (SBG). SBG is a multinational construction conglomerate headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Key Achievements
• Successfully completed the WAED Program, including the preparation of comprehensive project reports, and technical understanding of mechanical construction and project execution.
