•Review all new fire protection system projects and management of change projects, to ensure compliance with relevant guides such as NFPA. Develop budget plans and initiate purchase orders/material requisitions for equipment/materials required for Fire Protection Unit and emergency response personnel.
•Provide Fire Protection Superintendent with recommendations for improving fixed fighting/ protection installations and fire protection/detection equipment for existing, new and modified facilities.
•Coordinate with the RSS (Refinery Shift Superintend) in related to an emergency drills to maintain the level of readiness for mutual response between emergency teams and Operations.
•Develop, maintain and implement procedures and plans according to the NFPA standards to assure the maintenance and readiness of all portable Fire Protection Unit equipment and fixed fire fighting/protection equipment throughout company. Coordinates preventive maintenance program with responsible department.
•Conduct fire risk assessments and develops emergency response pre-plans for all Process Units and Operating Areas. Coordinates all fire/emergency responses strategies/tactics with Fire Protection Superintendent and Refinery Shift Superintendent. In consultation with Loss Prevention Superintendent, coordinates mutual aid activities.
•Provide all support to the Yanbu Emergency Mutual Aid program to ensure proper and effective SAMREF participation in all activities.
•Provides the required support to Refinery departments in conducting; emergency drills, fire equipment and system performance test, weekly fire water pumps inspection and during planned/emergency shutdowns/turnarounds.
•Ensure all emergency manual, related documents, plans and procedures are updated in regular basis.
•Performing commissioning and testing of Firefighting Systems (Water-Based Fire Protection Systems as well as Clean Agent Fire Extinguishing Systems) as per NFPA standards.

-Supervise LP Engineering staff to achieve the maximum output from the subordinates and to complete the LP section objectives
•Manage the LP Engineers to complete all routine work including TSR, MOC, CFP, TA packages and support Refinery Operation
•Provide the proper coaching to the subordinates to improve their competencies.
•Follow up with the subordinates objectives progress.
•Ensure effective participation in PMT, HAZOP, incidents investigation and any risk assessments.
-Provide Safety Engineering support to all BT leader to ensure full implementation of the safety rules and standards:
•Review all TSR. MOC package and provide comments according to Safety standards.
•Participate in any JSA, PMT, Lifting plan and critical works meetings.
-Manage the Samref safety manual and ensure proper update for all procedures:
•Ensure all safety procedures included and updated in Samref intranet and there is an easy access for all Samref employees.
Support the contractors safety program:
•Review all new contractors' packages and provide the required recommendations.
• Support the contractor buddy manager program and attend the monthly meetings.
Administrate the OIMS 9.1 Accidents Reporting & Investigation as follow:
•Update the system procedure to ensure including all required information for the GMOP, SAP Incidents Reporting program, clear responsibilities and the any other requirement from OIMS assessment.
•Develop 2011 annual incidents analysis for all incidents with findings, recommendations and lesson learned.
•Develop timely monthly report for all incidents with the required trend and analysis to ensure all incidents investigated on timely basis and report any deficiency to management.
•Develop Incidents recommendations tracking report to management review in monthly basis.
•Supervised the SHE team during fourth quarter event 2012(T/A) at Fawley Refinery in UK.

Key Responsibilities:
• Planning, designing, developing, implementing and evaluating departmental occupational safety programs.
• Facilitating the implementation of loss prevention and fire fighting policies/procedures for new projects in conformance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards.
• Coordinating inspections and occupational safety activities, directing and reviewing the analysis of accident data to identify the need for new/improved occupational safety programs.

• Responsible for service level agreement coordinator in Industrial Security Department - Western Region.
