EHSS Engineer - 400kv/132kv Super-Grid Substation Mosul - Iraq

EHSS engineer at 132/33 KV SS Project (13 nos.) plus supply of (35 nos.) Spare HV Transformers under Siemens / German Loan Roadmap (Ph.1).

Health, safety and environmental (HSE) manager, responsible for developing and implementing organizational safety programs. These specialists review and update institutional HSE policies and conduct risk assessments to detect potential hazards and plan precautionary measures.

Key responsibilities:
- Evaluating and developing, HSE management system according to our client standards in order to facilitate continuous improvement of HSE performance according to given objectives.
- HSE primary contact for company employees.
- Build up safety culture among employees by promoting, enhancing and
motivating the safely human behavior and attitude.
- Delivering PTW training to company worksites supervisors on how preparing
PTW pack according to ExxonMobil requirements.
- Lead and Participating with projects management on putting the safety plans
for non-routine activities (e.g. lifting, excavation, WAH, LOTO, CSE ---etc.)
- Ensure safety inductions and training for company employees are conducted
in accordance with company and client requirements.
- Conducting the Hazards identification and Risk assessment for the worksites
various activities.
- Deliver Safety training for hazards identification and risk assessment to
company worksites supervisors.
- Lead and participate in HSE audits and follow up to ensure close out all the
corrective actions.
- Maintains the records of HSE documents.

Supervise all HSE job in Majnoon oil field, Gulftainer Co. work as contractor
under Shell Co.
Key Responsibility
- Implementation of safety policy and procedure of the company’s and
international standards.
- Preparing and maintain HSE related plans and documents and risk
assessments as per the requirements.
- Giving induction and appropriate training for the new comer’s and all
employees.
- Conducting tool box talk and re-orientations to all workforce
- Attending HSE meeting with clients and contractors.
- Daily routine inspection of tasks on site to improve the safety system of work.
- Following PTW system as per the requirements
- Coordination between HSE departments and execution departments and
clients.
- Roles of supervision in accident prevention.
- Review method statements and hazard analysis for the various activities.
- Coordinating with the client on any related issues on site.
- Organize and make HSE program and plan of the company for the project
- Analyze and understand the project standard of the client
- Member of the investigating committee in case of near miss/accident
/incident.
- Performing risk assessments of each are of work activity and making
recommendation on action to be taken to reduce the risks
- Setting up of documented safety procedures and precaution covering all
aspects of the activities and adoption of system of disseminating them to entire
staff
- Advising project supervisor and managers on implementation of various
aspects of safety procedures
- Developing within the establishment an atmosphere of safety consciousness
by example by discussion by advice and training.
- Ensure that all no routine and potentially hazardous routine jobs are carried out
under work permits with associated complementary certificated and work hazard
information system (WHIS) are duly followed.
- Leading the investigation of an accident and making recommendation on
modified procedure to avoid re-occurrence.
- Ensuring the flammable materials are stored in a well restricted, ventilated area
away from source of ignition.
- Maintain records of accident that occurs in the project including detail analysis
of each injury and damage.

- Review all the area classification, Fire and Safety requirement drawings,
procedures, documents and materials as per the standard.
- Monitoring sub-contractor site activity frequently.
- Inspection of machineries and tools materials and color codification.

- Daily inspection of food wastes, housekeeping and proper segregation of food

Key Responsibility:
- Organize Meetings and events
- Organize and participate in candidates Interviews
- Assess Staff performance, and assessment reporting.
- Carry on termination and release procedures of employees in accordance
with local legislation

accordance with local legislation
- Follow up social status for the staff for legal concerns

- Tracking service agreements with third parties, auditing and issuing the

kind of employment terms in accordance with local legislation

-Establishing a Medical Examination program to maintain staff periodical
medical test and fit to work certificates
- HSE Programs planning and implementation
- Periodical check and maintain for all occupational health and safety.

HSE manager in PALS company which is has contract with BP company in Aalrumala ( Basra) .
