Key Responsibilities:
• Support the plant General Manager and HSE Engineer in the implementation of the company’s health and safety policies.
• Conduct regular inspections of assigned workstations and monitor adherence to safety and health policies, procedures and safe work practices.
• Monitor and ensure availability and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety clothing and tools by employees across the factory.
• Inspect all facilities, machinery and safety equipment ensuring proper working condition as well as identification and rectification of unsafe conditions and/or potential hazards.
• Support operation and maintenance staff in achieving high levels of performance related to safety, health, housekeeping and hygiene.
• Prepare and deliver individual/group presentations to create and improve awareness among employees on the importance of health, safety and environment compliance.
• Serve as a first responder to all accidents/incidents at assigned workstations including provision of first aid to affected employees
• Maintain all HSE related records and data related to accidents/incidents and provide inputs to the HSE Engineer for production of statutory and management reports.
• Review and track current developments and legislative changes related to safety and health and contribute to achievement of consistent compliance.
