Manager of Organizational Development. at the Public Security Headquarters, I was responsible for streamlining administrative procedures among the various divisions of this organizations, connecting them to the headquarters, in accordance with management regulations and local laws. This project involves investigation, imprisonment, human rights, as well as contracts and procurement procedures.
. At the Public Security Headquarters, and under the General Directorate for Monitoring & Audit, I was responsible for formulating standardized human rights procedures according the UN human rights chapters, international agreements, local constitution, and local criminal law; spreading the knowledge of human rights; and assisting employees in observing them in handling cases and in their work relations with others. Also responsible for monitoring & investigating complaints, malpractices, and misconducts involving personnel, divisions, or third parties (TP) disputes. Handled cases are varied and could fall under any legal genre.
At the Central Bureau of Investigation. This bureau works closely with governor of Riyadh (e. g., HRH Prince Salman, now a King). He delegates important, high profile cases to it to investigate it and summit a legal report on the conclusions. The investigators are usually handpicked, experienced professionals, and well versed in various layers of law. Commonly, they work in committees, comprising members of government bodies, such as the General Investigation & Prosecution Bureau, Ministry of Industry & Trade, Saudi Monetary Fund, etc. I was responsible for investigating Corporate Disputes, Banking Transactions, and cases involving international figures (e. g., officials and diplomats).
Doing my doctoral degree in Mass Communication with focus on International Political Communication.
At the Ministry of Interior. Responsible for translation international press conferences for the late HRH Prince Nayef; management of receptions of dignitaries; formulating strategic communication plans; crisis communication plan, media campaigns.
At Riyadh Police Headquarters, I was responsible for the image of the organization. This includes presenting high profile cases to the public in simple legal terms that can be easily understood, and consequently clarifies any confusions or rumours; and establishing functional relations with the community, as well as the press corp.
Responsible for resolving disputes that may occur in the diplomatic quarters, including civil and criminal ones; handling personnel affairs; addressing the needs of the residents; and providing translation.
. I started working in Riyadh Police as General Investigator. During this period, the Bureau of Investigation & General Prosecution was not established, and all disputes were handled by police satiations. In there, I built my professional practical knowledge of almost all branches of law. Then, I worked at Al-Maather Police, which is complex that housed the Kuwaiti refugees during the first Gulf War. I was responsible for resolving civil and criminal issues.
I was grounded in the areas of Corporate & Commercial Law, Financial Transactions Law, International Transactions Law, Commercial Disputes Mitigations (Alternative Disputes Resolutions), Electronic Commerce Law, and Commercial Names and Trade Marks Law, in addition to Legal Research Methodologies. Skills: Deep theoretical & practical knowledge in the aforementioned areas. Strength: My thesis (equivalent to a doctoral dissertation in depth and breadth, and I can provide you with a copy upon your request) is entitled, The Application of Prince Discretion Theory on National & International Construction Contracts Disputes by French, Egyptian, Saudi Administrative Courts. This thesis covers the fundamental legal principles in three countries namely; France, Egypt and Saudi Arabia that governs government construction contracts, specifically involving government/administrative interferences, which is the most important to all contractors regardless of their nationalities. This specialty is needed almost by all international companies dealing with Saudi government’s bodies, and I am expert in Saudi government contracts (construction & procurement law).
This university is specialized in training professionals to handle all type of crimes, including international crimes. So, it provides professional parishioners with the required knowledge in Criminal Law, International Criminal Law, International Humanitarian Law, as well as Sharia Law. Theses laws governs all types of crimes that may occur in the Saudi society. Many of these crimes are related to corporate & commercial transactions, and are called economic crimes. I have obtained the ability to ground a criminal case, or any case for this matter, on a solid legal framework that flows logically and can be understood clearly by anyone. Such skill can convince a judge or an arbiter with the legal argument, and help him render a favourable ruling. My strength is the exceptional professional legal argumentation and writing. Ability to assist a company in complying with the current local laws & regulations, so as not to unwarily drive into a legal pitfall, such as Saudi-Front Commercial Transactions, Commercial Forgery & Fraudulent Practices
This institution solidified and polished my overall knowledge base, as well as expanded my horizon to new frontiers. Being in a graduate program in the United States, helped me to see the world and people in different light; one that emphasizes its interconnectivity and interdependency. Skills: Ability to see how international political affairs shape the behaviour of both state and the masses. A skill that is an outcome of conducting my dissertation, “Construction of Saudi Arabia’s Social Reality Before and After September 11, 2001 By US Mainstream Television News Organizations in Relation to US Government officials’ News Framing." Strength: Ability to conduct extensive quantitative and qualitative research. Ability to write objectively, accurately, concisely, and with impact and results. Ability to situate law principles in their exact contextual place in a legal argumentation.
The College of Administrative & Law had established my knowledge about all aspects of management. Most important, how a government functions & operates, specifically in Saudi Arabia. This college firmly grounded me in Organization Theories, Organization Methods, Organization Development, Administrative Behaviour, Personnel Administration, Human Resources Management, Public Budgeting, Evaluation, as well as Management Information System. I have acquired the ability to recognize the importance of leadership and taking initiatives. Ability to realize the importance of human relations in an organisation. These abilities were attained as a result of conducting my master thesis entitled, Leadership and Management Trends in Saudi Economic Organizations According to Rensis Likert’s TMO Model. My strength lies in the steady cognizance of cultural differences, whether those among local groups, a particular ethnic group, or otherwise. Mitigating conflicts or struggle within the organization culture.
This US university is one of the competitive ones in the country. It is nicknamed, the Harvard of the Midwest. In its law school (college), I was trained in US Criminal & Civil Law; Criminal & Civil Procedures; Court Procedures; Law of Evidence; and other related fields. Skills: Exposure to the Common Law that relies heavily on precedence rulings. Ability to extract from court cases the legal principles for court ruling. Strength: A professional ability to conceptualize, analyze, breakdown a case into its basic element and extract the legal principle(s) that grounds the court ruling. Then, employ this/those principles in professionally handling the current litigation cases at hand. Note: Like Common Law, Saudi courts also make use of the precedence system. - Having enrolled in a Jesuit university, and studied Judaism, Christianity (Catholicism) & Islam at this institution, I am able to see clearly the role of faith in shaping one’s worldviews.
