- Basic experience with coding for microcontrollers in C language
- Understand the concept of serial communication protocols such as UART, SPI, and I2C
During my internship period at Sabic - Yanbu National Petrochemical Company (YANSAB), I was able to gain the following experiences and knowledge:
- Familiar with EHSS standards and work permit requirements such as LOTO for isolating Electrical equipment.
- Understand switchgear and motor control single line diagram, layout, and schematic drawings.
- Understand power protection system including the protective relay concept and coordination studies.
- Understand the concept and working principle of AC/DC system, VSD, UPS, and standby power generators.
- Engaged with major shutdown maintenance testing activities in multiple substations.
- Understand switchgear automatic and manual changeover concept and principle of operation.
- Understand the concept and working principle of power system automation including SCADA and PLC.
- Knowledge of electrical codes and standards such as NEC, NFPA, IEC, and IEEE.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with Honors
Studying as an Exchange Student for one semester at UNIVERSITY OF CINCINNATI, Ohio, USA. This program is offered by King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals only for students with excellent academic performance.
