• Oversee the day-to-day operation and maintenance of a government hospital, leading a team of 300 staff members, including department heads for electrical, electronics, HVAC & mechanical engineering, as well as housekeeping, laundry, and landscaping, ensuring all activities are performed as per procedures.
• Establish priorities, allocate work, monitor work completion standards, and ensure smooth functioning across all departments.
• Execute daily scheduling, coordinating, and planning preventative maintenance while ensuring compliance, address corrective maintenance needs, conduct safety rounds, and handle all maintenance-related tasks on a regular basis.
• Provide advice to hospital departments on the acquisition of equipment; oversee installation of operational systems, and follow the PPM schedule of the hospital equipment.
• Ensure projects and all O&M works are completed within the allocated schedule and budget, and are carried out as per the contract and client specifications.
• Manage the inventory of stored materials, overseeing human resource management, and exercising strict cost control in accordance with the approved budget.
• Ensure that all equipment is maintained and operated in accordance with the industry standards and maintenance manuals.
• Obtain all necessary legal requirements and approvals to ensure projects are moving forward as planned.
• Supervise 10 subcontractors in response to their visits scheduled quarterly or yearly based on contractual PPM and/or equipment requirements. Assist site staff in diagnosing complex maintenance problems and submit it to the subcontractor.
• Handle fundamental human resources tasks such as shift management, vacation coordination, exit and return management, technical contracts, and occasionally conduct interviews.
• Participate in and support quality improvement and safety & security standards as per company policy.
• Ensure the timely and accurate payment of monthly invoices, strictly adhering to no deductions.
• Prepare and maintain activity reports for MOH personnel.
• Foster effective communication with and promptly respond to MOH personnel, addressing routine technical operational matters and day-to-day inquiries.
• Pioneered the development of a comprehensive safety program for the facility, starting from ground zero, by conducting thorough risk and hazard analyses in alignment with quality department standards.
• Conducted training sessions for individuals and groups, covering a wide range of basic and advanced safety protocols.
• Enforced and maintained the effectiveness of the safety program, which encompassed, but not limited to, fire safety protocols, hazardous material and waste management procedures, escape and evacuation plans, and security dispatch and formation.
• Executed maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of equipment and machinery.
