ROLES & RESONSIBILITIES:
•Inspection on materials receiving, and review of Material Test Certificates, Batch certificates, Inspection Release Certificate for mechanical materials
•Inspection of welding consumables and equipment’s, checking of proper storage and backing of electrodes
•Perform Fit up, visual, dimensional check and installation of oil field pipelines.
•Read and interpret Piping isometric drawing, General arrangement drawing and P&ID.
•Conducting welder qualification test as per qualified WPS and applicable code/specification and preparing welder certificates and ID cards.
•Inspection on welding (check joint fit up, seam orientation, plate or pipe no, heat no, alignment, visual inspection & numbering) and preparation of Inspection reports & NDT progress charts.
•Witness of MPI, PT and UT, HT and PMI.
•Conduct Welder Performance Qualification test (WQT) to qualify welders as per ASME Sec IX and API 1104 and make their qualification records and Ids cards.
•Conversant with the interpretation of detail engineering drawings, welding Symbols & NDT..
• Inspection of welding consumables and welding rods and ensuring the proper storage and handling.
•Conduct Visual Inspection on welded Joints and Maintaining the Traceability on the job and updating the weld map of relevant isometric drawing.
•Prepare the Project weld status, weld repair status, welder performance report on weekly basis and reporting the client.
•Witness the PMI on weld metal, Parent metal, to ensure the traceability of the material.
•Line check prior to hydro test, reinstatement line check after hydro test, before the system handover to commissioning witness pneumatic and hydrostatic test on all piping systems according to the test schedule.
•Review RT film interpretation and review all NDT reports.
•Ensure that all welding procedures for the project will identified to meet project requirements.
•Carry out regular quality audits on fabrication, construction, welding consumables, drawing and documentation control.
•Monitor welding activities and ensure only qualified welder on board and following WPS.
•Review the WPS and implement it during welding as per the applicable job requirements.
•Witness the post weld heat treatment (PWHT) and reviewing the chart and report..
•Line walk to verify compliance with P & ID, isometric drawing and GA drawing.
•Giving NDE and mechanical clearance for hydro testing of piping system.
•Prepare and witness the test package for hydro test of piping system.
•Ensure that work is carried out as per the company quality and safety plan and strictly adherence to them.
•Review of PQP, ITP, QCP and QMS of Sub contractor.
•Performing Quality surveillance during construction stage to ensure adherence to approved project requirements. Controlling Non-conformities Resolved the Non-Conformities.
•Verification and correctness of welding consumable such as welding electrodes, filler wires, consumable, inserts, gases, fluxes, etc.
•Verification of welding electrodes backing and storage to all equipment’s meets job specification and code requirements.
•Verification of dimensions fit-up and welds preparations and completed weld in compliance with the applicable engineering standards and drawings.
•Witness and review of NDEs as required as per job requirements.
•Witness Destructive (Tensile, Bending, and V-Charpy) testing of material and weld.
