KEY RESULT AREAS
Based in International Procurement (Sub-contracts) Office (IPO), my major rolls & responsibilities include:
* Based in IPO office, co-ordinating with MENA Project Sites and supporting the project team with tender invitation plan and post contract administration support.
* Reviewing all contracts, subcontracts and consortia agreements and identifying commercial risks and opportunities within the contracting portfolio in order to mitigate risk & maximize opportunity. Assisting Site team in all aspects of commercial management within the projects.
* Preparation and negotiation the terms and conditions of the Subcontract Agreement / Global partnership Agreement with various Vendors / Subcontractors.
* Execute Sub-contracts administration activities for major capital works, contract formulation and administration functions.
* Negotiating variation claims & payment of interim & final accounts with Employers and Engineers and consistently achieving company goals.
* Maintaining overall control on Projects records under IPO control and accessing all necessary information in support of any dispute, claim or variation.
* Co-ordinating and ensuring that monthly valuations & Progress Payment bills are submitted on time by Projects team completely and accurately.
* Attending all Contractual matters pertaining to the project Site and supporting them in solving these matters.
* Supporting Site team for contractual correspondence with Client/ Vendors/Subcontractors in conjunction with the Project Manager.
* Ensuring that the Project complies with the terms and conditions of the Main Contract in all respects and that all notices are sent in order to (at least) maintain our contractual rights.
* Supporting Project team in identifying the changes to the scope of works through an effective change control process manages the process and monitoring the results.
* Price and (in conjunction with the planner) assess the time impact for all variations and change orders for submission to the Engineer for approval.
* Supporting Project team and ensuring that adequate recovery is made in order for change to be profitable and manage the financial inputs and the formulation of the impact of change.
* Identifying commercial opportunities in the subcontract requirements for the projects and ensuring that subcontracts are placed in time to meet the programme and profitably.
* Ensuring compliance to the Commercial Management Procedure established by company.
* Expansion of Quality Vendor/Subcontractors Pool in SAP/SRM system through Registration, Monitoring & Evaluation of the various Vendors / Subcontracts based on their Technical & Financial abilities during pre-tendering stage.
* Making online tender invitation plans and Creating Purchase Orders using SAP / SRM System.
* Re-commanding appropriate Subcontracts to Site team, as per the Site requirements, supporting tendering team & Project Sites in other GCC locations, as a centralize Department.
Since May’11 to Feb’13 with Arabian Construction Company, Abu Dhabi, as “Contracts Engineer”

* Experience in preparation and negotiation the terms and conditions of FIDIC based Contracts.
* Very effective interacting with architects, engineers, and others involved in projects including vendors, contractors and sub contractors.
* Experience in preparation of comparison sheets, negotiation, and finalization of vendors and Sub-contractors.
* Highly effective in overseeing and supporting sub contractor operations to ensure compliance with schedules, quality, safety standards, and scope of work.
* Various Contractual correspondences with Vendors, Sub-contractors.
KEY PROJECT
Title: Based in Head Office, Contracts department of ACC, Abu Dhabi and looking after all the Major Projects.
Duration: Since May’11
Role: Contracts Engineer
A competent professional with more than 3 years of experience in Contract Management, Project Monitoring & Coordination, Techno-Commercial Operations. Expertise includes managing pre-award contract management with an emphasis on pre-qualification and bid evaluation, request for quotations, short listing of bidders, negotiating, drafting and placement of contract award. Other areas of contract experience include post-award contract management and administration from in the areas of insurance, performance guarantee change order management, progress measurements and correspondence management for contractual correctness and perimeters. Diverse experience in contracts, analysis, drafting RFQs, negotiation and finalization of subcontracts, budgeting, extension of time-issues, locating work scope ambiguities and discrepancies in schedules, identification, negotiation and resolution of claims. Experience in preparing Company Bill & Labour Bill, requiring monthly material, negotiating with Sub Contractors, monitoring the Sub Contractors’ payments and reconciling the material. Strong negotiation & analytical skills with the ability to network with Project Members, Consultants, Sub-Contractors with consummate ease and working in Indian and International Environment.
