KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Writing Policies, Procedure and establishing formats for Procurement & Logistics, Warehouse and Inventory Management, Freight Management, Fleet Management, Material Handling, Disposal of Discard items and Fixed Asset Management System.
• Sourcing manufacturers, suppliers, service providers (clearing & forwarding agents, transporters), sourcing alternative products.
• Pre-qualification of vendors, initiation of enquiries, quotation review & techno-commercial evaluation.
• Negotiation, facilitate order/ contract finalization and processing/ signing of orders/ contracts with suppliers.
• Optimized and reduced costs where possible, addressed and resolved the discrepancies to ensure effective cost management.
• Implemented strategic inventory plans for short term and long term implementation within the budgetary limits to ensure the maximized available working capital.
• Inventory control Management and Warehouse management at multiple locations.
• Responsible to manage the inventory level and accuracy for all kinds of engineering, chemicals, packing, general and raw materials on weekly and monthly basis.
• Ensured proper documentation and management of all incoming materials and consignments according to the company procedure.
• Ensured timely reconciliation of inventory record and carrying out cyclic stock checks.
• Prepare management information reports in order to ensure that Senior Business Managers have the relevant information needed to support strategic decision-making.
• Liaison with Government authorities (like Customs, Min. of Env, Chamber of Commerce, Civil Defense etc) and service providers for air/ sea/ land shipments.
• Compliance with organizational procurement policies & procedures for open and fair tender and recommendation to top management in case of specific procurement/ regular purchases & end-user requisitions.
• Responsible for Customs clearance through Single Window System and coordination with the port of destination/origin for import and export.
• Research and monitor activities and trends in logistics supply markets to support the selection committees for informed commercial decision making with established law and policy.
ACHIEVEMENTS:
• Generated extra QR 0.7 million in 2018 by selling old inventory from Industrial area & Old airport warehouses.
• Cost saving of QR 1.5 million from procurement budget through introduction of new vendors & strict inventory control in the docking system of maintenance hangar project for Qatar Airways in Hamad Intl Airport.
• Identifying new routes & new vendors at the onset of blockade in Qatar thereby saving approx. 1 million in purchase costs of consumables & project purchases.
• Reduction in Customs Clearance time through proper planning, documentation & timely mobilization of fleet thereby reducing demurrage occurrences to less than 10% of total shipments handled per year.
• Responsible for complete operations to ensure timely deliveries.
• Worked on fleet & work force management,

• Liaise with the banks for the arrangement of Over Draft facility for the company.
• Managed Debit and Credit notes.

Organizing fast turnaround time for vehicles under repairs to < 24 hours for minor and <3 days for major maintenance.

• Worked on different Web development tools using PHP, MySql, JavaScript, Ajax, Jquery, Html, WordPress, Drupal and Payment Gateways.
