Job Description:
• Responsible for smooth operation of Nylon 66 and Nylon 66 compounding Lab.
• Verification, calibration & preventive maintenance of Nylon 66 lab instruments in order to
make ready for testing of Nylon 66 RMs, salt & pellets and water/wastewater/sea Water.
• Review & calculate the requirements of lab chemicals and apparatuses to keep running the
lab smoothly.
• Review and updating SOPs of lab operation and testing.
• Attend weekly meeting with Nylon 66 plant management for lab status and requirements.
• Making and following the plan for advancement of Nylon 66 Lab.
• Communicate and negotiate with calibration service providing companies for lab
instruments as well as lab supplier.
• Training of newly joined chemist as per training plan.
• To ensure reagents and solutions prepared in the lab are standardized.
• Check and review TDS, SDS and COA of RMs and compare with our lab results in order to
give approval of RMs if any discrepancy then communicate with supplier and raise NCR report.
• Review the lab analysis results and making Certificate of Analysis for releasing product.
• Support Environmental Department in order to fulfill Royal Commission requirements.
Job Description:
• Control quality from job order to issuance of certificate of analysis.
• Operation of Optical Control System (OCS) for Gel analysis of PE Master Batches and Injection Molding for Impact and E (Young Modulus).
• Writing and follow up NCR & DRF reports to other departments for quality issues and customer complain.
• Assist the production in troubleshooting various end products quality issues and provide technical support to solve the problems.
• Calibration and utilization of various instruments for reprocessed plastics, rubber & PE/PP Master Batches Inspection.
• Keeping all analysis records performed in the Lab.
• Log all QC related Lab activity.
• Prepare and update SOPs for Lab Instruments.
• Utilize FT-IR Spectrometer for of plastic and rubber products.
• Managing the Lab as QC Shift In-charge.
• Train newly hired Technicians.
• Check quality of outgoing product & incoming RM.
• Ensure Safety Guidelines are being followed during Lab Operations.
• Understand & Follow ASTM & Dow methods for different Lab Testing.
• Study & applying New RMs for the development of new products.
• Sorting of plastics & rubber scraps.
• Preparation of recipes of different plastics & rubber products.
• Carry out other testing/reporting duties as instructed by the Laboratory Manager.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015.
Job Description:
• Supervise lab analysts during their analysis working.
• Utilize UV/Visible Spectrometer, Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer and Cyclic Volta metric analysis for some special analysis.
• After analyzing samples results giving decisions to operation supervisor to starting chemical process.
• Maintain operating parameters recommended by technical data sheets during all chemical processes.
• Manage laboratory, reagents, standard solutions and instruments according to operational requirements.
• To find out solution of different reported problems to improve the quality of products.
• To work on cost reduction project assigned by Q.A and Operation Manager.
• Making daily lab working and chemicals consumption report to send Q.A Manager.
• To negotiate lab instruments consulting companies for instruments problems and for new instruments purchasing, installation and applying for process and quality control.
• Testing of all in process and finished samples.
• Method development and troubleshooting for various titremetric and instrumental analyses.
• To follow written procedures and verbal instructions.
• Utilize quality concepts and tools in the performance of daily activities.
• To perform laboratory experiments under close Supervision.
• After testing different samples giving decisions to the Production.
• Utilization of Titrimetric, Spectroscopic (UV/Visible), Cyclic Volta metric Stripping and Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy for different Analysis..
• Preparation and Standardization of all required solutions for Laboratory.
• Detection of metals with Titrimetric Analysis and Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy.
• Perform basic mathematical calculations and data manipulations, which may require the use of a computer or calculator.
• Maintain laboratory in a clean, safe, and efficient manner.
• Order and maintain laboratory supplies. Ensure maintenance and calibration of all equipment prior to use.
• To manage and adjust all production chemicals bath Acc: to TDS.
Job Responsibility:
• To Control all activities of Dyes In process and R&D Laboratory as process In charge.
• Conducting and supervising all Laboratory Experiments for problematic products, new raw materials and new products.
• To control all processes of dyes synthesis department by conducting and supervising various tests in the dyes process lab.
• To conduct different trials of new raw materials (cheapest one) instead of old raw materials (costly) on Laboratory basis. After repeating two to three successful trials applying these trials of products on Plant level to reduce the cost of production.
• I check all process parameters (Temp, pH, pressure, volume etc) during the synthesis of various products that, are they acc: to recipe or not.
• Guide, motivate and develop the lab team in technical skills and working procedures
• Driving projects forward with creativity and endurance according to defined milestones and objectives assigned by QA Manager
• Co-ordinate with production supervisors and operators for process control and quality control.
• Supporting team in finding and establishing new and alternative Raw Materials.
• Implementation of laboratory best practices for safe working.
• Assisting in lab documentation for internal and external audits.
• Managing In process laboratory consumables and equipped.
• I was responsible to start up daily production planned according to the forecast in the plant area.
• To follow strictly safety guidline.
• Before starting processes of any batch, ensure exactly quantity and quality, physical appearance and chemical properties of raw materials.
• To starts the process step according to the plant paper (recipe).
• To follow strictly process parameters according to standard operating procedures for start up and shut down of process operations.
• To improve quality (i.e. according to the standards) and yield of various problematic products.
• To mention all work in progress at plant in the plant work register when I leave the plant.
