Designing

 Design of Lighting, Power layouts, Single Line diagrams, Load schedule as per ADDC/DEWA Regulations.
 Design of ELV systems like Structured cabling, CCTV system, Access Control System, Intercom systems etc.
 Knowledge in Transformer selection, Generator Selection, Capacitor Bank Calculation, Voltage drop calculations.

Site Supervision

 Review of Material submittals and material samples as per project specification and authority
requirements.
 To conduct site electrical inspections as required and as per Inspection Schedule and WIR’s issued by
Contractor.
 Review & verify Setting Out / Layout of electrical elements.
 Inspect electrical elements to confirm accuracy with approved Shop Drawings.
 Witness electrical tests and inspections per Contract Requirements.
 Verify setting out / layouts of Final Fix of all Electrical elements.
 Ensuring that all electrical openings/box-outs/sleeves/service penetrations are sealed per Specifications.
 Prepare a Sign off of the above false ceiling works to allow Ceiling Installations to progress.
 Witness all prescribed tests for testing and commissioning of Electrical Systems.
 Attend electrical snagging and de-snagging inspections and prepare snag lists as applicable.
 Prepare the schedule of incomplete electrical works or defects before issuing TOC.
 Coordinate with Architectural / Structural / Mechanical Disciplines for ensuring electrical requirements are addressed adequately.
 Coordinate with Contractor / Sub-Contractors site representatives for accuracy and sequencing of works.
 Issue Site Observation Notes and NCRs as applicable.
 Coordinate with Senior Electrical Engineer and prepare responses to RFI’s, etc

Electrical engineer at Pivot Engineering & General Contracting

 Study contract documents such as scope of work, IFC drawings, specifications & vendor list.
 Checking material Material submittal from the suppliers before submission to consultant for approval.
 Preparing list of material submittal submission pending & follow up with supplier for the submission.
 Instructing Electrical draftman for preparation of shop drawings for Lighting, power as per ADDC
regulation. (Voltage drop calculation, Capacitor bank calculation, Cable tray load calculation etc..)
 Assisting draftman for the preparation of Builders work, Coordination drawings & Reflected ceiling plan
for approval.
 Follow up with suppliers for shop drawings for Low current system & Life safety system and checking
shop drawings as per site conditions & regulations.
 Follow up for ADDC approval for Electrical shop drawings.
 Follow up with Main contractor & consultant for all electrical related approvals.
 Attending coordination meetings with Main contractor & consultant with project management team.
 Submission of Work Inspection request & Material Inspection request for electrical for consultant
approval.
 Co -ordinate with QA/QC Engineers for preparing the method statements / Testing & Commissioning
procedures / test plans for electrical installations.
 Take off quantity for Electrical as per approved drawings & preparing material requisition.
 Follow up for Material Purchase orders & Letter of Indent for Long lead items for proper delivery.
 Check the design changes and raising variation orders for consulant approval.
 Instructing Site foreman & technicians for proper site work for all electrical systems.
 Ensure that the work is done at approved shop drawings & within the targeted time frame.
 Maintaining track of day to day activities and productivity.
 Preparation of Daily, Weekly and Monty progress reports.
 Testing commissioning of systems (DB, SMDB, MDB, MCC, Busbars, ELV sysyems).
 Verifying redline drawing and preparation of As Built Drawings.
