Position Summary:
Providing technical support to the Resident Engineer / Structural Engineer and for reviewing, monitoring, inspecting and supervising all Civil / Structural works during the construction phase of the project.
Checking that the Contractor’s works are carried out in accordance with best practices, statutory and client requirements and in accordance to the IFC drawings and specifications.

Duties:

Apply practices and tools for project supervision, execution and management.
Monitor the quality of workmanship. Achieve zero defects in company works and that of Contractors.
Check steel reinforcement and formworks before concrete pouring.
Implement required materials testing at site i.e. concrete cylinder and steel reinforcement, etc.
Solicit proposals and/or quotation from possible suppliers/contractors of owner-supplied materials.
Evaluate proposal/quotation and recommend to the client thru the Project Manager the chosen supplier/contractor. Upon approval of contract, schedule target completion and delivery date of owner-supplied materials.
Check and supervise project-related works while maintaining the smooth and safety execution of the work.
Receive, inspect and check delivery of owner-supplied materials as well as evaluation and preparation of the corresponding payment for the delivered items.
Works includes overseeing the on-going activities within the project site in coordination with the client, other designers and contractors involved.
Prepare project status report for project file and client’s information.
Experience at working both independently and in team oriented environment.
Prepare correspondences, site instruction, transmittal, etc. regarding the project.
Conduct project site coordination meeting with the contractors/suppliers involved in the project.
