Design and manage construction of overhead and underground power distribution reticulation lines.

Estimating, quoting and designing of Distribution Power Lines for downer to complete work for network Power companies.

Being part of the Design & Projects team, I have been involved in pricing and designing for our main client Powerco as part of the Electrical Field Services Agreement (EFSA).
Other work I have been doing is Major Powerco tenders, Customer Initiated Work (CIW) for external customers and Ultra Fast Broadband (UFB) overhead line Design for different regions throughout Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin.

I have tendered for quoted for small to large sized projects ranging in value from $500 to $1.5 Million (NZD).

I have worked on a number of KPI projects just to highlight a few:
-Replace ABS with SECTOS units
-Replacing old kiosks and installing 11kV Transformer
-Recloser Replacement
-Sectionalizer Replacement
-Replacing existing Powerco Ground Mount 11kV Switches with ABB Safelink Series
-Upgrading Powerco 11kV Substations with new Transformer
-Indoor Switches and LV Boards
-Replacing 33kV ABS Overhead Switches
-Installation of both Industrial and Residential Pillar Boxes
-Moving Radios from Te Rere Hau to Te Paki Repeaters
-Te Rere Hau Wind Farm Rust Removal and Transformer Repairs

Working as a technician (On-field) where my role consisted of but not limited to the following tasks:
1) Dealing with Customer related fibre connection incidents
2) Troubleshooting Fibre Faults
3) Provisioning fibre as part of the FTTH Downer Contract with Chorus
4) Scoping premises as part of the fibre provisioning process and liaising with the customer
5) Fibre Blowing and Splicing
6) Fibre installation on residential or commercial premises
7) Installing Aerial and underground cables
8) Modem/router/Wi-Fi installation and configuration
9) Integrating existing legacy wiring
10) Civil work including trenching, Concrete cutting, Hauling of cables and reinstatement.

• Took part in testing in both Spark LTE and Spark SRAN swap projects
• Provided training for staff in the use of software applications commonly in use for testing
• Identifying, troubleshooting and reporting faults with computer hardware, software and peripherals
• Developed and maintained documentation
• Performed field tests for Pre-Launch single site verification by verifying PCI, RSRP, SINR then going with different Throughput tests on each sector (UDP DL/UL & TCP DL/UL), Ping, Attach-detach, followed by Intra-handover between the sectors and the IRAT test.
• Monitored and analyzed statistical and drive test data to improve system performance indicators such as dropped calls, blocked calls, and DL/UL throughput.
• Monitored mobile network and generated pro-care KPI monitoring report including accessibility rate, retainability rate, handover success rate, traffic user number, total volume (UL/DL), cell unavailability duration, and etc.
• Generated and designed test plan (including test cases, methodologies and routes) and providing technical reports to clients.
• Worked in coordination with telecommunications and software engineers to integrate designs into large scale communication systems.
• Assisted to the Surveillance Team & FSS engineers to resolve the faults with in time frame (As per SLA Agreement with the customer).
• Worked in shift 24 hrs/day, 5 days/week, detection of faults and immediate corrective action and integration.
• Cooperated with Field Engineer, Planner and Optimization team for making new sites on air successfully.
• Provided leadership and day to day management of 24x7x365 operations. Preparing the Daily Fault Management Reports & Fault Progress Report, Escalation.

Research and development working with Zigbee XBee 2.1; working on designing a commercial product using the Zigbee protocol suite.
