• Write and modify technical specifications and company’s standards for field auto power switches (RMU, LBS, Reclosers, intelligent remote terminal units, SCADA and DMS/OMS/ hardware and software, telecommunications and services opportuinities.
• Prepare bid documents, scope of work and request for inviting proposals from vendors and contractors.
• Evaluate bid submittals by reviewing base design and detailed design. Resolve deviations in design and field difficulties and handle post bid clarifications by studying/interpreting and holding meetings with vendors.

• Project technical evaluation for the bidders (COGELEX, ABB, SIEMENS . SCHEIDER) according to scope of work, technical specifications, compliance/deviations, BMTs for SCADA/DMS packages. (Schneider ADMS, ABB Micro
SCADA pro-sys-600, DMS-600, Alstom, E-Terra, Siemens Power Spectrum).
• Project execution, factory acceptance testing and go for site visits for installation, testing and commissioning
of Automated RMUs (Schneider RM6), Automated LBS and FIEDs and re-closers for distribution automation
project.
• Understanding of distributed control center configurations: VPS cubes, telecom room, battery / UPS room,
consoles, router, CCTV, Fire fighting.
As independent
• Perform the feasibility studies for development of telecommunication infrastructure based on mix of wireless (
RF mesh, 3G, LTE, WiMAX, DSL, Industrial WiFi ) and Fiber (GPON, DWDM, SDH, MPLS) for distribution
network.
• Managing the communication requirements of field power devices to the control center by utilizing the cellular
company’s M2M (machine to machine) platform, APN and IP VPN connectivity.
• Involved in design, installation and integration of the intelligent electronic devices (IED and
telecommunications system for SCADA. by using accepted industry standards and practices.
• Knowledge of DMS functions: FLISR, SAIDI, SAFI, Switching and load forecast.
Estimation and classification of motorized and lighting AC and DC electrical loads of normal, essential and
critical natures with reference to process requirements.
• Maintenance of 110 V DC, rectifier panels with battery bank for substation VCB, motorized ACBs, MCCBs and
protection relays.
• Selection of appropriate cable ways/routes for Substations interconnection., MV and LV switchgears,
Distribution Transformers, MCCs, Lighting DBs, Cables, Rectifiers, UPS system etc. for various substations.
• Emergency diesel generators (4X2500 KVA) operations with protection and control system.
• Knowledge of motor starters in motor control centers. For LV (400 V) having DOL (≤ 30 KW motors), soft (≥30
KW motors) and ASD (variable speed up to 45 KW).
Pre-shipment inspection acceptance of ALCATEL & ZTE exchanges and Huawei PRI internet exchange for
corporate customers (ISP).

• Planning of fiber optic cable route for interconnection of digital exchanges to main digital switching center in
terms of optical budget .Managed and supervised the development of new fiber cable networks: splicing,
jointing, OTDR, elimination of stress points.

cable technicians and line-men.
