Responsible for classroom and lab instruction in various Automotive courses and assists in constructing degree/certificate programs and updating current curriculum, Responsibilities for assisting in the development and execution of a long term growth strategy for the automotive program.
o Providing technical training to the students & Technicians
o Assists in the preparation of course proposals, curriculum, and specifications.
o Integrates learning from customers, competitors, other industries, industry groups, and professional training to continuously improve program quality.
o Applies and maintains standards of quality operating methods, processes, systems, and procedures and
o implements changes as necessary to maintain a successful automotive program.
o Implements and evaluates standardized instructional practices.
o Assists in recruiting students and supporters to the program, including participation in job fairs, recruiting events, and other special events related to the automotive program.
o Maintains training calendar and coordinate events
o Performs other related duties as assigned
• • Allocating work to Mechanic & troubleshooting all light, heavy commercial & construction vehicle such as:
o Mercedes Trucks & trailers, CAT forklifts, CAT shovels, TCM forklifts, Water tankers, Hiab cranes.
o Diagnose the Mercedes & Volvo vehicle with JAL test & DAS system
o Checking the air valve condition with ETM
o Supervising workshop personnel and technicians to ensure their services meet the standards of quality set by a company in order to achieve customer satisfaction
o Assigning and designating job duties to staff according to their performance and history & also guide and direct the activities of servicing/repair staff to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency.
o Reach out to customers to encourage them to come by their shop for auto repairs.
o Oversee the inspection of vehicles before and after repairs in order identify faulty components and ensure complete fixing.
o Preparing the yearly budget
o Following the budget daily & monthly wise
o Management of equipment work orders in Oracle system
o Managing all induction & access requests for the workshop facility
o Management of department equipment certification.
o Administration, monitoring and co-ordination of dept competency scheme.
o Arrange and attend monthly department safety meetings, prepare minutes and distribute to all personnel involved. Track progress of actions on a regular basis.
o Compile monthly reports for the tracking of overtime hours, personnel allocation and dept man-hours.
o Maintaining and promoting a safe working environment within the Department and the Company reporting via Synergi.
o Overseeing company’s safety and quality standard at all time during the project life time and liaising with site stores to make sure availability of erection materials
o Steering a maintenance crew, controlling spares and consumables and preparing shift schedule
o Accountable for supporting company safety, environment, quality policies and programmes and ensuring a safe working environment at all times
o Taking part in housekeeping activities and reporting all Near Miss Incidents to the concerned Shift Controller
B Tech in Mechanical Engineering
3-Years polytechnic diploma in Automobile Engineering
