•Study/Review of Job in hand & tender documents, scope of work, drawings, BOQ, specification as per requirements for proper estimating work.
•Preparing technical queries for ambiguities in drawings, specifications and BOQ.
•Prioritize RFQ’s that require more time to get quotation and major cost items.
•Follow up with the Sales team to obtain quotation in time and clarify to all their queries when required.
•Pricing material and labor cost of each BOQ item in the price comparison sheets, by using the quotations and pre-determined rates.
•Preparing BOQ unit prices as per BOQ format and filling.
•Check all the addendum and communications received from the client, ensuring that all items are being clarified and considered in the pricing.
•Prepare approved products as per requirements.
•Preparing assumptions and exclusions if any.
•Preparing adjustment schedule with unit prices, when applicable.
•Preparing technical report for each received RFQ.
Review and Approval of Shop Drawings, Material Submittals for all
Mechanical Trades, as per Applicable Standards and Specifications.
• Coordination of all activities at site and resolving day to day technical issues
at site with Site supervisors.
• Monitor the sequence of work and ensure safe/ proper planning for
movement of plant, machinery and equipment for optimum utilization.
• Supervision of installations of all HVAC activities as per Standards.(AHU,
FCU, Chillers, Chiller pumps, Cooling towers, Chilled water piping, Duct works,
Dampers Grills, Diffusers, Registers etc).
• Installations of Plumbing System(Water supply ).
Water Supply - Installation of Piping for Cold water & Hot water system, Water
Heaters, Filtration System, GRP Water Tanks etc.
• Installation of Firefighting System as per NFPA (Sprinkler, fire pumps, fire
hose cabinet, Piping and valves)
• Coordinating with other engineering disciplines in all aspects during
the development of works to ensure that all Mechanical site activities are
conducted under controlled conditions as per Approved IFC drawings,
specifications.
• Air Balancing of FCU’s/AHU’s/FAHU’s.
• Attending all Site Progress reviews and Walk through meetings and reporting
the Managers.
• Participating / Preparing the weekly and monthly Progress reports.
• Checking the weekly and monthly progress, reporting the project manager
and to the project management team. Making ensure that construction follows
the good practices to avoid re-works.
• Co-ordination with different discipline for easy moving of site activities
• Project Planning (making BOQ and raising material requisition for on time
procurement).
