• Played a key role in the development of the new procurement policy and guidelines that govern the payment requests from contractors and other vendors.
• Successfully contributed to the formulation of the revised business travel policies and guidelines governing all areas of business travel.
• Analyse and prepare business travel expense analysis reports regarding cost utilization, and appropriate recommendations.
• Provide advice and expertise in and outside of the department as required and to act as a source of reference on both accounts payable and business travel related matters.
• Work closely, manage the daily duties and mentor the professional and support staff which were working within local disbursements or business travel at a given time.
• Representing the Financial Control Department on a number of committees across the Bank in order to ensure that the Banks procurement policy and guidelines are followed.

•Produce departmental P&L statements and present the results to various key stake holders including Account Managers and department Managers.
•To identify areas where costs can be controlled, communicate these potential cost savings with department heads and work alongside them to implement savings.
•To complete a quarterly analysis of the Balance Sheet position and providing an explanation of variances against budget and previous Quarters.
•To provide Cash flow modelling and analysing of the agencies debtor and creditor days.
•To discuss with department heads to produce a capex budget and monitor agency spend on a quarterly basis.
•Attending monthly conference calls for Omnicom regarding working capital status relating to the size and collection of outstanding Debtor balances.
•Completion of the Agency yearend tax pack and production of the Statutory accounts.
To produce the full Management accounts for both the food manufacturing and retail businesses which are then reviewed by the Financial Director.
Assist with month end processes - nominal ledger postings, preparing accruals/prepayments, maintaining an extensive fixed assets register of existing and new assets.
Monitor the usage of stock to ensure that wastage is appropriately controlled and that both wastage and the cost of samples and developing new products is appropriately covered in the current price of products. Depending on these levels and the cost of ingredients the price of products may be altered to ensure that the company maintains its profit margins.
Regular analysis work of month to date and year to date performance against previous year and budget. Due to the nature of the manufacturing business attention is paid to analysis of profit margins against ingredients and labour. It is therefore imperative that the business is in a position to react quickly to commodity prices in order to preserve the profit margin of the product range.
Retail and trend analysis of the growth and maturity of both existing and new shops in order to accurately budget and forecast.
Presenting retail outlet P&L’s and key data to shop managers outside of the finance department, providing explanations of business performance.
Prepared the annual budget of Joint Venture Company with an annual turnover of £2m. Required liaising with key non financial staff to acquire expected figures for new and key accounts and sales targets for the business development partners.
Assisting with the production of the Management accounts for the store at Knightsbridge including a written management report, P&L’s and balance sheets.
Maintaining and calculating a complex and extensive prepayments and accruals schedule.
Responsible for the accurate and complete preparation of the General Ledger journals and related procedures.
