Job Responsibilities
Supporting IT products, Services and Maintenance
Administrative scope: • Assure that the team members have the necessary education and training to effectively participate,
• Coordinate with internal and external clients as necessary,
• Orient the team with the client's needs, specifications and tools,
• Work with functional managers to obtain necessary resources to support the team's requirements,
• Serve as a focal point to communicate and resolve interface and integration issues with other teams,
• Escalate issues which cannot be resolved by the team,
• Encourage out of the box thinking and risk-taking.
Individual scope:
• Managing the supplier base which includes blocking and unblocking the suppliers, fetching the background information from operations as well sourcing buyers, keeping a check on segmentation, payment terms, documentation, historical data of the suppliers (core as well as non-core suppliers) . Spend/commit analysis of the entire supplier base on a monthly basis to ensure that there are no compliance issues from documentation perspective.
• Mergers and acquisition: - Prime contact from the procurement from IT products space to work on company's acquisition, which includes the integration of the acquired suppliers, reviewing and working on their existing contracts identifying the opportunities where we can leverage our own supplier base to fulfill the requirements of acquired company's customers once the transfer of business is done.
• Audits (Compliance Testing): -Testing our re-sellers if they are being compliant to the contractual cost plus uplifts. This includes pulling the data for a sample containing Hands free orders, Hands on orders and working with suppliers to fetch the information regarding the mfg invoices. Completing the audit by running the sample reports with the suppliers and council.
• Monitoring the content being updated by the suppliers on their Shopout catalog. The parameters of monitoring these catalogs are the product description, commodity code and price.
• Have worked as Sourcing buyer experience for IT Equipment/Hardware Maintenance. Interaction with Council team to extend contract, performing supplier selection, fair value analysis, & negotiating with the suppliers.
• Responsible for providing support of the different Procurement Applications used by IBMer & the external Suppliers. This includes invoicing issues, releasing of Purchase Order & Post credit support activities.
• Preparing & compiling various daily/weekly/monthly reports pertaining to process and productivity.
• Managing Inventory Management Tool which includes creating and updating the inventory exhibits and supplements, inventory reconciliation.
• Hands on experience in RFXs activities for various lines of business.
