- Zain Jordan - Call Center Workforce & Performance Management Solution

--Project Brief: Zain is seeking to implement Aspect’s workforce management and performance management suite of products to empower it to plan, manage, monitor and optimize its call center workforce. With STS being Aspect’s local partner and commissioner on this project, accordingly my role is to supervise and follow up on behalf of Zain with Aspect’s project manager ensuring that the project is executed in accordance with the agreed scope, cost, duration and quality, ensuring that the project is delivered successfully

-- Project Brief: Orange is aiming to replace its existing internet website with a state of the art portal based on Microsoft Sharepoint 2010 technology, this project constitutes a complete revision of the existing website and focuses on providing a simplified user experience to Orange customers, another key goal of this project is to consolidate all of the eServices that Orange provides to its customers into a unified portfolio of services which utilizes a custom built Single-Sing-On engine to provide users with a unified experience across all of Orange eServices

--Project Brief: the goal of this project is to create a state of the art internet portal and eServices platform for the SSC. The project scope generally consists of:
• Building a new internet portal based on SharePoint 2010
• Introducing a large set of eServices that serve the Jordanian public
• Integrating SSC with 17 local banks to provide instant and secure transfer of pensions and salaries
• Integrating SSC with 14 public entities to facilitate dynamic data exchange between these entities

--Project Brief: HBTF is looking to expand its rich portfolio of online banking services by creating a new set of Visa Card services, these services will allow HBTF customers to better manage their visa accounts by providing facilities to view the details of visa accounts, review statements, pay installments and inquire about transactions.

+Project Brief: MOI intends to replace the existing traveler management system deployed at all boarder points in Qatar; new functional features to be introduced include: automated passport reading and forgery verification, traveler biometric capturing, traveler black list clearing. This project includes very unique non-functional requirements in terms of system response times, reliability, availability, replication and also offline processing capabilities.

+Project Brief: As part of MOI’s strategic SOA initiative, a common infrastructure services project has been initiated to model and create shared data services that expose the most common citizen and security information as web services for consumption by the existing and future systems at MOI.
As a department lead and solutions architect at Optimiza, I worked closely with the bid management and sales teams on producing proposal that ensure Optimiza secures major IT projects across the region, in this branch on my role I have lead a number of proposal preparation efforts (mainly in response to RFP by the eGovernment of Jordan) coordinating the work of several teams ranging from infrastructure to software to sales. During proposal preparation efforts I was directly involved in: (1)
• Coordinating the effort of specialists contributing in the proposal effort
• Validating proposed solutions and ensuring compliance to client requirements
• Platform and technology selection, with emphasis on Oracle’s SOA technologies and integration tools.
• Technical architecture conception and documentation of various architecture views (logical, technical, physical, deployment, network, security ...etc)
• Hardware infrastructure sizing and component selection
In the department lead role I also was in charge of establishing Optimiza’s java technology department and building its capacity, this branch of my work entailed:
• Candidates screening and selection
• Holding training sessions and capacity building events for division members
• Setting software development standards and methodologies

As a senior consultant at Devoteam I was involved in a number of engagements with clients from the government sector, my responsibilities included providing project management services and enterprise architecture consulting to those clients

• Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defense and Aviation Portal
Responsibilities: Project management
Project Brief: Devoteam was hired to supervise the work of the vendor building the portal and to provide consulting services to the ministry. As project manager on this project my responsibilities included:
- Liaising between the ministry of defense and the vendor building the portal
- Acting as project management on behalf of the ministry
- Following up on progress and investigating causes of delays and deviation
- Scope clarification and deliverable verification
- Conflict and issue resolution
- Quality management of all vendor deliverables and end products
- Stakeholder management
- Providing technical and business consultancy to the ministry
• eGovernment of Jordan Project - Architecture Consultancy Phase
As a senior consultant on this project my responsibilities included:
- Designing and implementing a prototype that demonstrates the viability of the enterprise architecture proposed by Devoteam for the e-Government of Jordan central platform, this prototype featured a fully working SOA model with a central ESB that dynamically routes Web Service messages between a portal application and a number of backend web services. This prototype was fully developed using a suite of BEA products.

-ePayment Gateway Product - Qatar & Jordan
Client: Visa Jordan, Qatar Central Bank, Housing Bank, Jordan Kuwaiti Bank
Responsibilities: integration effort leadership, Team Leadership and Software Design
Project Brief: STS was building the first online centralized payment gateway solution in the region, this solution provides websites with the ability to accept payment through various methods including credit cards, debit cards and direct bank account debit. As the leader of the integration team my responsibility included creating the integration backbone of the payment gateway in addition to working with payment processors to integrate the gateway with their existing core payment processing infrastructure; following is a detailed description of my accomplishments on this project:
-- Successfully lead a number of integration teams working on integrating the payment gateway product (deployed in Jordan and Qatar) with a number of payment service provides including VISA, MasterCard and a several regional banks; integration was mainly based on the ISO-8583 financial exchange protocol and a host of custom protocols utilizing an in-house built middleware integration server.
-- Lead the design and development of a custom middleware integration server, the purpose of which was to facilitate the integration of BusinessOne's payment gateway product suite with any payment service provider system; the architecture of the integration server heavily utilized IBM MQ middleware and XML over TCP/IP messaging to achieve its function; major design drivers included supporting clustering, load balancing and high levels of concurrency.
-- Lead a high caliber team responsible for implementing all the security related requirements of BusinessOne's payment gateway product suite. These requirements include authentication and authorization services, single sign-on and E-Commerce security using Visa's 3-Domain Secure protocol.

• Wataniya Telecom Mediation System
Client: Qataniya Telecom Kuwait
Role: Senior J2EE Developer, Project Coordinator
Involvement on Project: Worked independently on a medium sized project for Watanya Telecom in Kuwait, partially owning the management of the project, in addition to the complete ownership of the development effort. The target of this project was to build a mediation server that connects a big number of TCP based applications to a CORBA based server, This mediation server is currently deployed at Watanya Telecom in Kuwait and it connects all of their sale outlet applications to their main customer management system.

Involvement on Project: Worked as a J2EE developer on the Qatar e-Government project, contributions included:
-Developing a number of e-Services that utilize J2EE technologies and XML messaging over IBM MQ middleware to present governmental services to citizens.
-Developing the centralized Authentication and Authorization modules based on IBM's SSO and IBM's LDAP server.
-Developing the centralized error handling and reporting engine.
-Mentoring and training junior developers and interim staff on J2EE technologies.
