Steering the Business
o Based on IKEA FOOD Global business plan and strategies setting and developing IKEA national business plan and setting direction for IKEA FOOD in the country and lead the implementation of the national IKEA FOOD business plan.
o Working towards driving traffic to the stores, increasing Conversion Rate and secure reasonable profitability such as Unbeatable Breakfast Offer in KSA.
o Every Business year defining financial goals and developing P&L strategy in agreement with Country management, and setting sales budgets and CAPEX & OPEX and submission of Business case for every project ensuring ROI.
o Pro-actively follow up and monitor set goals and targets, and act on deviations. Update forecast on bi monthly basis.
o Initiating, implementing and analysing projects from both financial and commercial perspective in order to create future recommendations.
o Utilising relevant tools and reports to include Commercial Review, CSI, Food Safety Audit, Mystery shopper and VOICE in order to develop the business and team.
o Increase operational efficiency by looking into the trends where more volume can be sold in least time.

Quality and food safety
o Be responsible for IKEA FOOD meets all legal requirements and IKEA policies for food safety, HACCP / ISO22000:2005.
o Overall responsible for ensuring compliance to legislative and IKEA FOOD requirements in the areas of Quality and Environment.

Commerciality and range
o Constructing commercial strategy for national range and establish the guidelines for national and local range development including pricing.
o Use Commercial Review as a tool to secure implementation of best practices and as a learning and development tool.

Leadership, HR and Communication
o Effectively manage with particular reference to their selection, training and development including overseas recruitment.

o Establishing an effective and efficient information flow, securing that key information is understood by all IKEA FOOD co-workers.
o Supporting and coaching the stores in functional questions as needed and ensure that the IKEA FOOD concept, manuals and current guidelines are known.
o Support, visit, share best practice and work closely with the stores to help to reach operational excellence.
o Contributing in the development of IKEA FOOD locally and internationally. Participating in international projects and meetings.

Purchasing and goods flow
o In cooperation with Finance and Logistics initiate purchasing and goods flow strategies for the country.

Competitiveness
o Creating and implementing a successful pricing strategy for all IKEA FOOD units.
o Supervising and analysing the local competition in order to secure a competitive price distance to competitors and the lowest price in every food category.
o Monitoring the national food market environment regarding competitors, customer expectations, trends, and attending exhibitions related to industry such as Gulf food.
o Communicating yearly market input to IKEA Food Services AB for future range developments.

Marketing
o Developing and supporting the implementation of communication policies, sales and marketing strategies both externally and in-store in relation to IKEA FOOD.
o Developing the Commercial calendar, including national activities and external communication, together with the Country Marketing Manager.

Expansion, rebuilds and maintenance
o Securing long term growth and profitability in investment requests.
o Planning and liaising with Expansion Project Manager in relation to all new stores and rebuilds securing the IKEA FOOD Standard Layout and Standard Equipment.
o Ensuring all IKEA FOOD operations are designed for top efficiency, functionality and atmosphere.
o Taking responsibility for coordinating the maintenance network for IKEA FOOD equipment
