Responsible for managing the company’s health, safety and environment compliance issues, and for delivering and maintaining a safe and secure working environment for all staff for the entire on package 04.
Responsible for identifying, assessing, planning for and monitoring those Health, Safety, Security conscious risks that are implicit in the organizations operations. Providing an advisory service on those Health & Safety, Security and rescue matters and helping to shape a modern, efficient and effective Safety and Security service that can meet future challenges.
Implementing Safety program and procedure at the sites.
Issuing/verification of all kinds of permits for both utility drainage works and various roads excavation and levelling also implementing recommendations.
Reviews and advises on safety requirements in the Method Statement and Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA).
Responsible to ensure compliance concerning Work Zone Traffic Management and associated related procedures.
Reviews risk assessments for upcoming work and provide technical assistance to the safety planning process.
Receives, reviews and distributes safety inspection reports with recommended corrective actions.
Conducting and participating in meetings like safety committee, monthly management.
Accurately reporting all incidents to Senior HSE manager.
Making sure that no unauthorized personnel enter restricted areas.
Preparing incident reports and taking recommended appropriate follow up actions.
Supervise team of both HSE and security personnel in their daily operation and discipline.
Prepared overall security plans and managed security operations of organization, including assignments and staffing.
Contributed to investigations of property loss, thefts and criminal activities.
Reporting on a day to day basis to the Senior Health and Safety Manager.
Making sure that new employees know how to access information about risks and safety procedures related to their work.
Undertaking unannounced Health & Safety site inspections.
Keeping company staff informed of the health and safety procedures associated with their roles
Identifying issues and risks that may impact the business, its customers and employees.
Ensuring that the scene of a serious incident is made safe and preserved for investigation.
Educating company personnel on safety matters.
Carry out record, document and issue daily, weekly & monthly, site safety inspections, audits and reports.
Ensuring the organisation complies with all current health and safety legislation.
Monitoring the implementation of the company's Health and Safety Management Systems.
Ensuring that all relevant employees are fully trained up in key fields.
Sourcing external training providers.
Identifying the training needs of employees.
Informing staff of the procedures to be followed in the event of an emergency or any other serious occurrence

Conduct Safety Induction for new work force and educating workers during daily tool box meetings
regarding Safe Work Practice, Safety norms, use of PPE’s, housekeeping, and material Handling.
Ensured compliances to government Regulations on Health, Safety and Environment as well as OHSAS
requirements.
Participated in both internal and external HSE Audit. Monitoring lifting activities on the site.
Follow up ensures implementation of safety recommendation.
Daily monitoring of excavation and digging equipments.
Checked and recommended the use of safety harness and the correct PPE when working at heights.
Daily Visual Inspection of Lifting gears and Equipments i.e., mobile cranes, chain hoist.
Performed daily walk-through for safety inspections of the facilities including fire systems. Documented and photographed findings and compiled and presented statistical data on safety activities to EH&S Manager. Coordinating the installation of fire extinguishers where necessary.

Investigated accidents and injuries. Documents the injuries detailed the events leading to, during, and after the accident; and made recommendations to fix hazards
Identified, recommended, and implemented ergonomic changes to reduce health and safety hazards.
Maintained Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) on chemicals used in the workplace.

The programme provide a detailed scientific knowledge, conceptual, analytical and practical problem- solving skills in Transport management and other related Transport management disciplines. The programme expose the students to Quantitative Techniques in Transport, Marketing of Transport Operation and services, Logistics and Physical distribution, Transport policy, Accounting and other management areas requiring analytical decision-making as an integrative approach to the myriad of Transport Management problems of planning, analysis, execution and control in Transport environment.
