In-charge Aircraft Maintenance at Pakistan Air Force

While working in a MRO (Maintenance Repair Overhaul) department as Engineering Manager, I with my team used to induct aircrafts for scheduled maintenance and unscheduled rectification. During maintenance, Quality Assurance staff was utilized to ensure all essential requirements including serviceability of aircraft systems, configuration, airworthiness and safety were ensured. When required, necessary ground equipment and other essentials were moved, redeployed and provided support for operations at specified remote locations.
In short following responsibilities were undertaken:
Supervise maintenance of aircraft & equipment
Apply Quality Assurance & QC concepts in aircraft maintenance
Analyse aircraft “Defect Trends”
Investigate aircraft occurrences
Supervise fabrication of aircraft Components
Update the System syllabus as per latest modifications & upgrades
Standardize training syllabus of newly inducted systems

General Manager at Pakistan Air Foece

As Maintenance Manager as team member was responsible for maintenance, accountability, modifications and of all the equipment, vehicles, consumables etc held on inventory. Incidents at ground or during flight, entailing involvement of maintenance crew were investigated and compiled with findings and recommendations in the form of a report by the team. Implementation on the recommendations were then followed up till the identified causes and weaknesses were addressed.
As Logistics Manager searched, procured and arranged transportation of required sensitive aircraft equipment. Technical identification, binning and ware-housing was also the responsibility of the concerned Staff. Received equipment was then preserved as per specified storage conditions and delivered to the user in a swift manner. Future requirements were definitised as per the forecasted operations, available inventory and budget dictates.
As Field Manager, supervised performance of technicians by regularly inspecting and rendering technical advice on work ethics, procedure adherence and ensuring a healthy and safe working environment. In case a problem requiring engineering skills was faced; concerned publications were consulted and meticulously supervised to ensure that no deviations were attempted. As part of responsibility, generate incentives, looked after welfare, grooming and discipline of employees working in different sections.
As Contract Manager I conducted feasibility study and then drafted, got approved, signed and then administered Engineering Development Contracts. As Project Manager I got developed minor components of aircraft and associated equipment. As Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team Member, I participated in exercises entailing neutralizing and disposal of un-exploded and partially primed, improvised explosive devices.
As Contributor, plan and implement such programs which should encourage employees and enable continuous improvement in our thinkings, behaviors, performances and ensure continuous growth in our output as individuals, team and community for establishing a better society.
