Responsibilities:
1.Assigned to monitor and check the appropriateness of the applied Phosphate Calcination and beneficiation Technology with Thyssen- Krupp and F.L.Shmidth for Algeria Fertilizer Projects.
2.Develop and execute downstream projects through various stages starting from Concept Stage, Pre-Feasibility, Feasibility, FEED Stage, and EPC Stage till Operation Stage.
3.Managing and directing the Risk Register of Algeria Two Fertilizer Projects (nitrogen and phosphate).
4.Follow up on status of Risk Assessment with Legal & Finance and Downstream Technical and Commercial Team.
5.Handle and resolve issues related to concept note, marketing study and outstanding finance issues.
6. Evaluate incoming opportunities for Downstream and determine whether it is feasible to proceed with or stop such.
7.Collect Project data such as availability of raw materials quality and quantity, appropriateness of Project site and the applied technology, market evaluation for the issued commodity.
8.Examine and evaluate the technical capabilities of Consultants, Contractors and vendors.
9. When and where needed participate in the technical bid evaluation
10.Conduct concept studies and make sure it is cost effective and environmentally accepted.
Manage all operation activities in four sites (Suhar, Sur, Muscat and Barka.
Develop and modify plants and production units through project development and process study.
Develop employees industrial mentality and skills.
supervise project execution and developments.
at Jordan Abyad Fertilizers and Chemicals Company at Al Jeeza near Amman. This plant was established to produce K2SO4 fertillizer and HCl by product via Mannheim Furnace technology, sice 1/7/2007 until now. As a plant manager I hold the full responsibility like production, maintenance, procurement, logestics, material handling, planning…etc to ensure correct operation and processing for target achievement. Such plant has a special specifications due to very corrosive material which is used like sulphoric acid and hydrochloric acid under high temperature, consequently the metals which is used is very expensive to resist such severe conditions. Also there is a special section for fiber glass. Many equipments were modefied and installed to improve production rate for such plant within 20% production rate producing 12000 ton/annul with extra 2000 ton/annul.
I have worked as a deputy operation manager, managing engineering supervision for operation activities
• Since 1/9/2004 until now in MEREN company as production superintendent. MEREN is a Jordanian investment to produce silica sand (purity 99.8%) after mining, using several stages to purify silica sand to the required purity.
Many equipments are used to produce that high grade of silica product like attrition, classification using floatex separation technology, de-watering, solid concentration, drying via fluidized bed dryer, ball mill grinding…etc
I have leaded the commissioning team of MEREN to achieve the proper plants hand over.
• I was an employee in Kemira Arab Potash Company (KEMAPCO) FROM 16/9/2001 until 30/8/2004 (three years).
In KEMAPCO I held the following:
1. The head of the commissioning team of the DCP (di-calcium phosphate) unit which producing DCP as an animal nutrition. DCP unit composed of two main stages, the de fluorination, and crystallization stages, including filtration via the filter press machine after pre neutralization, limestone grinding via a roller mill, product filtration via vacuum belt filter, drying via flash dryer…etc.
2. After commissioning has accomplished, I held the area engineer of the DCP unit, Ion Exchange unit and nitric acid unit.
In Kemapco I gained a lot of experience in fertilizers technology and a good knowledge of related processing using wide varieties of chemical and physical processes, research and development skills, establishing an industrial strategies to solve technical problems and engineering calculations for designing equipments.
• Arab Potash Company (APC)
I have worked in the APC 16/8/1993 until 16/9/2001(8 years). I spend that period as below:
1. Trainee engineer for 6 months in the hot leach plant
2. A member of the commissioning team of the cold crystallization plant.
3. Shift supervisor at the cold crystallization plant for 5 years.
4. A nominated member From the APC to Safi Salt Company for carrying out the performance test of both industrial and table salt plants.
5. The head of water consumption committee
6. A member of the fourth expansion project
7. One year in the industrial potash plant as a member of the commissioning team, and then as an assistant superintendent of that plant.
• Industrial, Commercial, Agricultural, company (ICA) located at Rrusseifah. I worked as a chemical engineer in paint factory, for 14 months from 1/7/1992 until 15/8/1993. I was responsible on mixing and quality assurance sections, and all related activities, like procurement arrangement, maintenance coordination, laboratory analysis…etc.
