* Developed and initiated standards and methods for inspecting, testing and evaluating to identify
and rectify electrical and mechanical issues in equipments and machinery.

Council’s engineering staff.

Responsibilities:
• Different types of cement used in oil industry from A to H and recommended according to depth, temperature and pressure, In Pakistan class G cement is used because reservoirs are deep.
• Performed duties maintaining standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of tasks e.g. controlling thickening time for anticipated temperature and pressure, prevent fluid loss, produce slurry stability and achieve optimum compressive strength.
• Controlled the slurry (Paste for testing) to maintain accurate flow according well requirement, decrease in the resistance to follow the required pressure.
• Producing slurry stability through the uniform and consistent distribution of solid through the slurry and reduce free fluid or minimizing the volume.
• Control loss of fluid from cement slurry to permeable formation.( Halad-344, Halad-413, Halad-567)
• Observed and controlled the use of Retarders (HR25, HR4 and HR12etc) if the rate of cement hydration decreased.
• Observed and controlled the Accelerator (KCL) in order to increase the strength of slurry without altering thickening time.
• Kept control of Gas migration that include latex, stabilizers and dispersants of the slurry.
• Surface Rheology Test: Performed to determine the flowing properties or viscosity of the slurry. (2, 3, 100, 200, 300 and 600 rpm with viscometer FANN model 35A).
• Density Measurement Test: Mud balance is used to measure the density of the slurry.
• Atmospheric Rheology Test: Downhole temperature 190F to check the viscosity of slurry. (Atmospheric consistometer, model FANN 165 )
• Thickening-Time Test: The thickening-time test determines the amount of time the slurry will remain pump able under desire temperatures and pressures for specific well conditions. (Max Pressure: 30, 000psi and Max Temp400F).
• Operated machines (Fann:Constant speed test mixer, Viscometers, Mud Balance, HPHT)
