• Achievements:
o Worked with the PMC to administer the EPCM contract for the Construction, Completion and Maintenance of the new KGOC Head Office Building (~US$150 million).
o Prepared and administered contracts to handle the Complete Furnishing of the new KGOC Head Office Building, Data Center, Maintenance, Clearance Services, Cleaning Services, Manpower, Stationary Material, Scrap material, Pest Control Services, Records Management, Catering, Transportation, and others for KGOC.
o Review of contracts for other state corporations including sharing of best practices for Kuwait Oil Company, Kuwait National Petroleum Company, Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Company, Joint Operations (KGOC & Saudi Arabian Chevron) - Wafra and Kuwait Oil Tanker Company).
o Reviewed requests for adjustments order on behalf of the Joint Operations Tender Committee (JOTC).
o Update the yearly budget for the team in coordination with the group financial controller.
o Developed a new method to purchase stationary material and integrated it with the existing e-services system, this reduced the purchase time from quarterly (months) to 3 days.
o Developed a new contract to provide coffee machine service during the Corona pandemic. This venture was greatly loved by the company’s employees and still exists (further expanded by the addition of an ice cream machine, popcorn machine and light snacks).
o Developed and updated KPIs for team members.
o Issused adjustment orders in the various contracts, to incorporate maintenance and related special activities.
o Created a mechanism to handled new civil works in the building maintenance contract.
o Working on a new project for the complete rebuilding and renovation of KGOC’s building W.

• Achievements:
o Participated as Team member in a Lean Six Sigma initiative to optimize the procurement process resulting in a reduced lead-time from request to delivery of material. This greatly decreased the lead time from 6 weeks to 2 weeks for purchases less than KD 5, 000 (~$16, 000).
o Active part of the team that standardized all risk management, document templates, purchasing policy and procedure manual for the Purchasing & Materials Management Group, as part of the Company’s ISO 9001:2008 initiative
o Led the Team to create a new standardized template for all supply agreements, incorporating the new Tender Law 49/2016 and mitigating risks in the supply chain based on past records.
o Created and negotiated over 50 long term pharmaceutical and medical supply agreements for KOC’s Ahmadi Hospital and Field Clinics. This greatly decreased, indirect procurement related cost and ensured adequate stock for all specializations.
o Experimented to create a new system for tender committee approvals for sole/ single source contracts, that decreased the procurement cycle by 1.5 months. This system was eventually adopted by the parent organization Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC).
