• Primary responsibilities include managing day-to-day data center operations, server administration, and backup administration at DP World.
• Responsible for backup strategy and managing daily backups of all remote and on-site servers and maintaining their records in relation to established procedures and frequencies.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and effective data center operations, including facilities, networking, and security teams.
• As the primary point of contact for all infrastructure-related events, ensuring that Service Level Agreements (SLA) are met to the highest standard.
• Server hardening of newly provisioned servers and maintain all Windows servers, both virtual (VMWare & Hyper-V) and physical servers hosted in the data center.
• Perform fail-over drills for mission critical systems to test IT services across all data centers.
• Remediate vulnerabilities and patch operating systems/antivirus programs regularly.
• Manage and monitor all servers hosted at the Data Centers, wireless access points, and other IT equipment that form the backbone of the IT infrastructure using WhatsUpGold, HP IRS, SCOM, Systrack, DCIM solutions.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues related to UTP or fibre cabling in the data center.
• Initiate corrective actions that result in high availability of production services and minimization of downtime, with the overall goal of assuring availability of the IT environment.
• Maintain IT infrastructure, i.e. UPS, CCU, environmental control devices, fire detection and suppression systems, etc.
• Observantly analyze the services of critical applications such as ZODIAC, OPUS TOS, CTMS-SPARCS interface, BI SAP server services, TBMS batch processes, CCTV services and so on.
• Maintain documentation of infrastructure procedures, operating instructions, user manuals, quality assurance programs in compliance with Information Security Management System(ISMS) standards and policies.
• Maintain records of all activities performed by self/ vendors or other support personnel within the Data Center premises.
To provide IT support for day to day operation related activities to ensure smooth running of IT function.
Build, design, and deploy new servers as required, assessing business needs.
Coordinate resource usage to facilitate process efficiency and project management.
To install and configure clients and other related business applications to meet demands of users.
Responsible for day-to-day maintenance of servers including back-ups, software upgrades.
Successfully managing RSA Secure ID server.
Configuring and managing exchange server.
Monitoring and troubleshooting network devices.
Monitor on a daily basis the company intranet, email, Microsoft products, 3rd party software.
To supervise Help Desk Staff and resolve problems by providing solutions on a day to day basis.
Resolve technical and capacity issues on the site, inform management on critical issues.
Manage all aspects of the integrity of the environment to include security, monitoring (capacity and performance), change control, and software management.
Generate usage reports and documentation
Research and evaluate new technologies and take a lead role in the recommendation and implementation of existing and new application software (applications, operating systems, etc.), hardware, and maintenance
Designing network and storage of surveillance system for several govt., civil and military projects with team of engineers.
