Responsibilities u**
Technical Services
• Provide inputs to the company’s annual capital and operating budgets ensuring adequate funding of all programs and activities. Monitor performance and highlight variances to higher management for effecting corrective measures.
• Participate developing and implementing technical policies, procedures, KPIs and equipment reliability programs aligned to strategic business objectives of the company.
• Update technical departments of the company on new developments, work practices, engineering standards and codes of practice.
• Liaise with government and semi-government institutions for securing required technical licenses, NOCs and permits.
• Lead the drafting and drawing department in revising and updating existing engineering drawings as well as development of new drawings from scratch for engineering records, technical correspondence and other technical requirements.
New Projects
• Participate across the project lifecycle covering FEED and feasibility studies, costing and estimation, designing and engineering, planning and scheduling and installation and commissioning.
• Coordinate with joint venture partners like MOL, OGDCL, PPL and GHPL to resolve technical and commercial issues related to various joint venture projects.
• Contribute to different phases - feasibility studies, estimation, evaluation, design, approval, procurement and implementation - of new engineering projects.
Procurement and Contracts
• Participate in preparation of contract documents covering scope of work, specifications and bill of materials for different projects and technical services.
• Contribute to development of new vendors and continuous performance evaluation of existing vendors.
• Develop documents for tenders and enquiries and conducted technical and commercial evaluation of bids and quotations.
• Provide support for resolving technical and commercial variations as well as in matters related to expedition of deliveries, logistics, customs clearance and quality assurance.
Plant Maintenance
• Support field engineers in building a technically competent and performance driven maintenance team for automation (DCS, PLC, HMI), instrumentation, electrical and mechanical maintenance.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines in resolving day-to-day problems.
• Participate in development of preventive and routine maintenance schedules. Conduct field visits to ascertain effective execution of scheduled monthly, quarterly and annual maintenance jobs to deliver targeted reliability and availability of plant and equipment.
• Take part in inspections and assessments of new/old process plants, equipment, piping, structural supports and pipelines as per applicable codes and standards including API and ASME.
• Managed planning, procurement coordination and inventory control of spare parts.
• Participate in planning and monitoring execution of shutdowns and annual turnarounds.

• Transportation of hydrocarbons to the processing plant - automatic pig launching and receiving system, instrumentation and control for pipelines and valve assemblies, main and standby operation panels for valve assemblies, mainline and booster pumps for crude and compressors for gas, RTUs for pipelines and valve assemblies, CCTV and intrusion prevention system, fibre optic/radio based WAN connectivity with SCADA and ESD systems, solar power system, wireless as well as fibre optic communication system for pipelines and valve assemblies.
• Gas/Condensate/Crude processing plant - complete electric power, instrumentation, automation and control for the processing plant including field instrumentation, pipeline SCADA, plant DCS and overall ESD systems. Major process plant sections include: receiving of hydrocarbons at the plant (slug catcher, high/medium/low pressure 3-phase separators, bulk knock-out vessels), sour gas treatment plant, dehydration pant, dew point control (propane refrigeration, Joule-Thomson valve, turbo expander), LPG/solvent oil plant, condensate stabilization, sales gas metering and chromatography, facilities for storage, decanting and transportation of condensate/crude, LPG and solvent oil.

• Synchronization and control of AC/DC motors up to 950 KW to maintain required temperature and tension to produce various grades of polyester.
