• Special educator in the senior Special Students’ Department.
• Teaching: Sciences grade 7, Mathematics grade 8, Chemistry, Biology & Physics grade 9 and Physics & Biology grade 11.
• Tasked with reporting a student personalized educational progress report (SPEP) every term showing in detail the performance of each student on lessons’ objectives; Modifying the curriculum and tests and doing the appropriate accommodations to meet the intellectual needs and abilities of every student.
• Tasked with planning lessons with shadow teachers and support teachers who work with students of different levels within the same class and students with Autism.
• Customizing contracts or behavioral chart with students in order to set rules and goals and reinforcements.
• Homeroom teacher and team lead for grade 5 in the junior Special Students’ Department.
• Homeroom teacher: Present in class with the students during all academic subjects. Tasked with reporting a student personalized educational progress report (SPEP) every term; Modifying the curriculum and tests and doing the appropriate accommodations to meet the intellectual needs and abilities of every student.
• Team lead : Tasked with scheduling and attending parent and therapists meetings, supervising the work and lesson plans of two support teachers within the team as well as the work and lesson plan of shadow teachers.
• Courses taken: Cognitive Psychology, Perception and Sensation, Adult Psychology, Child Psychology, Developmental Psychology, History and Systems , Clinical Psychology, Behavioral Neuroscience, Research methods 1 & 2 , Health Psychology, and Psychology seminar. • Pre-med courses: Biology 1 & 2, Physics 1 & 2, Organic Chemistry 1 & 2 along with attending laboratory sessions and completion of MCAT exam.
