Responsible for the development and implementation of EHSMS for the Building and Construction Sector, Commercial Sector in accordance to the requirements of the Abu Dhabi EHSMS Regulatory Framework. Also responsible for the development and implementation of the internal EHSMS for WRM. Coordinate the review of Abu Dhabi EHSMS Regulatiory Framework and HSE studies for Etihad Rail and Nuclear Power Plant.
In the capacity of ADNOC Group HSE Auditor, responsible for coordinating the Group HSE Audit Program, and HSE Assurance for a total of 19 ADNOC Group Companies and Divisions, with diverse activities in E&P, Refining, Distribution, Shipping and Support Services such as Seismic, Drilling, Diving, Marine, Road Transport and Aviation. Led HSEMS audits with participation from various Group Companies and Share holders’ representatives.
Responsibilities include review and approval of HSEIA, HSEMS and various HSE studies, with focus on COMAH, QRA, HAZOP, HAZID and various risk assessments.
Leading HSE audits within the Asia Pacific Region. Types of audits carried out include corporate HSEMS audits, Facilities HSEMS audits, Pre-start up audits, and other activity audits. Also responsible for coordinating the OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 certification for Shell E&P.

Leading Diving HSEMS Audit, assessing implementation of IMCA Diving standards and emergency response adequacy
Coordinate, plan, conduct ISO 14001/OHSAS 18001 audits with SIRIM and ISO certifying bodies
Responsible for overall HSE in the Port Dickson Refinery in West Malaysia. Key challenges include coordinating HSE aspects during major shutdown, risk analysis and job hazard analysis, fire-fighting and ER preparedness, implementation of a behaviour based safety program, revamping the HSEMS and HSE case for the refinery. Liaise with regulatory authorities on approvals, exemption, and reporting of incidents and non-compliance.
Key deliverables:
Ensure the effective implementation of Refinery HSEMS, HSE Regulations and Standing Instructions
Coordinate refinery shutdown HSE activities, training for contractors, HSE inspection program
Plan, coordinate and implement a HSE centre with complete walk-in audio visual facilities for induction training of workers
Coordinate, plan and achieve OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 certification and site implementation
Liaise with government bodies on HSE regulations, approvals, deviations and ad hoc visits
Responsible for the implementation of the HSE-MS and providing support on Operational Safety to the business and facilities. Key challenges include operationalising the HSEMS in the frontline, integration of the HSE cases with the HSEMS and promoting the implementation of HSEMS and HSE cases in major contracts/projects. Provide advice on operational HSE, such as PTW, HEMP, incident analysis, performance reporting, unsafe act auditing and behavioural safety.

Coordinate, review QRA for sharing of standby boats between platforms, especially during chopper landings and simops activities
Study, review and coordinate various QRA and demanning philosophy
Coordinate, plan and update HSEMS and implementation
HSE advisor to Operational Safety Committee, in providing advice and formulating strategies for management and frontline

Responsible for revamping the first-generation Health, Safety and Environmental Management System into a functional system, integrated with business processes. Key challenges include securing buy-in from senior management and frontline personnel, establishing a transparent structure that cascade from the HSEMS to the HSE cases and operational HSE procedures and guidelines in the front-line.
Key deliverables:
Coordinate, plan, revamp HSEMS manual and implementation
Coordinate, review, update HSE cases for major facilities including identifying risk mitigating measures to reduce risk to ALARP
Provide HSE advice to HSE committee on current HSE issues, plans and implementation

Seconded to Petronas Carigali to be the Project Manager for the Miri Crude Oil Terminal major upgrade projects, including firewater system revamp, tanks upgrade and various infrastructural modifications. Key challenges include managing a diverse team of engineers from different nationalities, in-house engineering and support disciplines and contractors/sub-contractors interface.
Key deliverables:
Leading a multi-discipline engineering and support team in the planning, design and execution of the MCOT upgrade projects
Direct interface with major contractors on the design, procurement, construction, commissioning for the tanks, pipelines, and associated fire fighting facilities
Leading HAZOP of plant modification participated by design engineers and contractors
Supervise contractor progress against plan and ensure construction as per specifications, quality and HSE requirements
Responsible for the planning and financial control of all engineering projects. Key challenges include strict budgetary monitoring and control of overall project costs and schedule. Also, revamp the Planning and Financial Guidelines for the Engineering function to further improve project performance through both planning and cost control.

Maintain overview of all engineering projects, challenge justifications for change and deviation, schedule and cost, and present summary and recommendations to management for endorsement
Track progress of major projects via Artemis, PS tool and review catch up plans with project managers
Provide project planning and financial services to project teams
Coordinate ranking of projects based on HSE, profitability criteria and present to management for endorsement
Responsible for overall performance of fabrication and pipe coating contracts executed in the fabrication and pipe coating yards. Key challenges include tight control on quality, costs, HSE and to ensure the on time delivery of the offshore structures.
Key deliverables:
Supervise the fabrication of Temena, Tukau, D35, South Furious platforms at Teluk Ramunia Fabrication Yard and Sabah Shipyard. Led a team of engineers, QS and inspectors in ensuring the timely delivery of offshore structures within specification, cost and meeting HSE requirements
Liaise with contractor management on change orders, contractual issues, cost, planning, manpower and HSE issues
Coordinate technical reviews, assess changes and deviations, and challenge basis of engineering design and constructability
Coordinate and review design and compile lessons learnt for improving future designs and construction
As a Contractor Representative, responsible for the overall performance of the offshore contract in meeting the client's requirements in achieving on-time completion within tight quality, cost and HSE constraints. Scope includes platform installation, pipelay, hook up and commissioning.
