About the Role:
As Client’s side Quantity Surveyor, the role is to provide commercial support to project teams, maintain commercial information and ensure compliance with contractual requirements and the Group’s objectives. Further, to liaise with end users, project managers, consultants and contractors on commercial and Contractual issues including payments, agreement of variations and claims.

• Variations analysis, recommendations and management
• Settlement of Final Accounts
• Reporting to Line Manager on all commercial issues
• Attendance and representation at commercial meetings

Project : Dammam South Housing Project - Roads & Infrastructure Works
Client : Ministry of Housing - KSA
Duties and responsibilities:
■ Re-measurement
□ Taking off actual quantities of work items in accordance with the latest approved drawings and stipulated method of measurement.
□ Preparing and submitting the revised Bills of Quantities for review and approval by the Consultant & Client.
■ Variations
□ Comparing tender documents with latest construction drawings to identify the changes.
□ Collecting detailed information regarding such changes from the Technical Department.
□ Estimating the cost & time impact of identified changes.
□ Preparing & submitting change requests along with all necessary supporting documents.
□ Working closely with the Consultant’s Quantity Surveyor for finalizing and agreeing variations.
■ Interim Payment Applications - Preparing & submitting monthly payment applications and follow-up.
■ Preparing cash flow forecasts and advising the Project Manager regarding projected income and expense.
■ Advising the Project Manager and Project Controls Manager on various commercial and contractual matters.
Project : Early Works Package for the Lusail Stadium and Precinct
Client : Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (FIFA 2022)
Duties and responsibilities:
□ Assisting the Senior Project Manager, in the process of procurement of sub-contractors including carrying out commercial negotiations and dealing with counter offers.
□ Drafting sub-contract agreements for design, engineering and construction services and forwarding the same for review and approval by Senior Project Manager.
□ Developing the project (internal) budget and presenting for approval by the Company’s higher management.
□ Attending scheduled meetings with Client / PM and PMC representatives.
□ Closely working with the Design Consultant in order to identify the cost implications of design proposals.
□ Be responsible for overall management of commercial and contractual matters.
Project : Construction of the Infrastructure for the Residential area at the Katara Project
Client : The Cultural Village Foundation (Representing the Government of Qatar)
Duties and responsibilities:
■ Main Contract Management:
□ Preparing and submitting Interim Payment Applications and follow-up.
□ Attending scheduled meetings with Client and PM / PMC representatives.
□ Collecting details of site activities in order to determine change in the scope of work by way of addition, omission or substitution.
□ Evaluating the cost/time effect of Variations and accordingly preparing & submitting claims (EOT & variation claims).
□ Settlement of Final Account.
■ Sub-Contract Management:
□ Assisting Senior Project Manager, for procurement of sub-contractors (floating enquiries, obtaining quotations, preparing comparison statements and providing recommendations).
□ Checking subcontractor invoices and certifying payments.
□ Assessment of subcontractor claims (EOT & variation).
□ Settlement of Final Accounts.
Duties and responsibilities:
□ Attending pre-bid meetings and site visits.
□ Going through the tender documents to ensure that the provided information is sufficient for bid preparation.
□ Drafting official tender clarifications in order to obtain more information / notify important observations & discrepancies.
□ Taking off quantities based in accordance with drawings and specifications.
□ Floating enquiries to sub-contractors & suppliers, obtaining quotations and preparing comparison statements.
□ Preparing Cost Estimates.
□ Assisting QS Manager for preparation, compilation and timely submission of bids.
Duties and responsibilities:
□ Preparing Bills of Quantities, based on the drawings & specifications
□ Preparing Cost Estimates
□ Visiting construction sites, monitoring and reporting the work progress
□ Taking actual measurements at site and preparing interim valuations
□ Settlement of Final Accounts with Clients and Contractors

□ Collecting details regarding site manpower, materials and machinery
□ Preparing daily report & submitting to the Site Manager
□ Floating enquiries to suppliers and obtaining quotations
□ Estimating quantities of materials to order (concrete, rebar, cement…etc.)
□ Raising material order request
□ Supervising general site activities - formwork, rebar fixing, concreting and finishes (floor, wall & ceiling)
□ Taking actual site measurements to assess the works executed by sub-contractors
□ Checking sub-contractor invoices and certifying payments
