managing project Procurement supply chain from purchasing, expediting, inspection and logistics in order to ensure supply of project required material on time with best quality and price.
Ensure accomplishment of projected purchasing activities within the established project schedule.
Review the Material Requisition (MR) which includes Specifications, Standards, Bill of Material (BOM), Drawings, Scope of Work (SOW), and QC requirements.
Issue Request for Quotation (RFQ).
Prepare technical/commercial evaluation of bids.
Arrange and attend technical / commercial clarification meeting with the prospective bidders as deemed necessary.
Coordinate technical queries/vendor documents with the suppliers.
Negotiate price and commercial terms with selected vendors.
Issue Purchase Orders (PO) & revisions.
Issue Contacts with vendors.
Coordinate project procurement activities such as Expediting, Inspection, Traffic & Logistics.
Prepare the Procurement Schedule in coordination with the Project Schedule.
Establishing with the suppliers the need for fabrication schedules, reviewing and advising of any adjustments required.
Periodically visiting suppliers’ facilities to expedite assignments delivery.
Contribute to Supplier’s Performance Evaluation.
Supervise and train Jr.Procurement Engineers.
Support development of cost estimates and proposals.
Follow up site activities, shop drawing, client approval, and managment meetings.
review technical submittal and advice on comments.
