Projects involved:
•EPC: Riyadh Metro Project (Riyadh, KSA).
•EPC: ADGAS - New Central Control Building & HMI Upgrade Project, (Abu Dhabi, UAE).
•Responsibilities:
•Plan and co-ordinate industrial and large size multi-discipline design project activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and delivery of project designs within schedule and allocated budget.
•Ensures Engineering designs are as per Employer’s requirements and Specifications.
•Review Engineering drawings for the Viaduct package and coordinate with other package groups, especially Stations package group to ensure the requirements of both packages are met.
•Attend & contribute design reviews between Viaduct and Station Packages to plan and develop the design concept.
•Attend & contribute design reviews between other consortiums to plan and develop the Viaduct design concept with mutual activities.
•Review Engineering design calculations & drawings for Viaduct package to ensure the final design is optimized.
•Coordinate with alignment, utilities, highways, MEP, & electrical groups and with joint venture group responsible for the supply of metro carts (Seimens) to ensure all Civil works are carried out with no clashes and deviations.
•Monitor Engineering deliverables and design by planning and attending Constructability, IDR, and Gate reviews.
•Monitor Piling Sub-contractor on site and act as a Responsible Engineer for their Sub-Contract.
•Coordinate between Estimation, Procurement, and Engineering Design office to ensure material purchases are as per Project Specifications and Contractual requirements.
•Review, monitor, and control purchase requisitions (PR), purchase orders (PO).
•Monitor, coordinate, and review the deliverables of Vendors for pre-cast segment moulds and Launching Gantry for the Viaduct package.
•Monitor all TQs, RFIs and Field Design Changes.
•Develop and supervise design concept ensuring that all aspects are technically sound and compatible with contractual requirements.
•Provide supervision and leadership on all technical and engineering matters. Review and resolve inter-disciplinary issues to ensure the most effective and efficient design is adopted.
•Liaise with the client, site personnel, and other departments to ensure that all design aspects are addressed and resolved.
•Monitor progress of project(s), prepare regular management reports, and address significant variances in schedule or manpower with recommendations for corrective action(s).
•Maintain, develop, and propose modifications to Engineering policies and procedures to improve quality and efficiency of designs while coordinating and consulting with QA personnel.
•Identify project documents, both receivables and deliverables. Arrange requisitions and availability through librarian, and accessibility and control through document controllers.
•Supervise external Sub-Contractors for specialized designs. Define their scope of work and coordinate their interface with project design aspects.
•Issue recommendations and lesson learned for each project at completion for the purpose of enhancing performance and raising awareness of peers.
Hydro & Power System Division)
•Projects involved (Hydro Power Stations):
•EPC: MATALA Project (Matala, Angola).
•EPC: Lower Mattagami River Project - SMOKY FALLS 2, (Ontario, Canada).
•Management responsibilities:
•Packages opening (WBS), preparation of scope of works, and ensure work is carried out respecting millstone agreed in the contract.
•Ensure efficient document control management for the project.
•Attend & prepare minutes of meetings within the projects including Engineering and Site.
•Review, monitor, and control projects planning, scheduling, budget forecasts, and man power (MFL).
•Monitoring construction site HSSE activities.
•Prepare and produce weekly and monthly Engineering performance & progress reports.
•Review, monitor, and control internal work progress.
•Ensures all Engineering packages are executed within scope of works and budget.
•Monitor any changes in the Engineering packages that might affect the critical path and control the changes with the project manager and engineers.
•Follow up, monitor, and coordination with construction team through Technical Queries (TQ), Engineering Inquiries/Requests, and Request for Information (RFI).
•Review and monitor subcontractors/vendors activities and control NCRs.

•Analysis and design new and existing concrete & steel structures (buildings, platforms, retaining walls, foundations, ect…).
•Check the capacity of existing concrete and steel structures and bridges (using Canadian, ACI, AASHTO, and Euro Codes & Standards) and provide reinforcement / rehabilitation where necessary.
•Prepare and plan the rehabilitation works for concrete structures, steel structures, dams, spillways, and bridge beams & deck.
•Design bridge structure following Canadian Highway Standards (CSA S6).
•Design a 270 Ton capacity crane girder following CSA & AISC Standards.
•Perform stability analysis of Gravity Dam, Power House, Spillways, and other structures.
•Prepare and produce engineering reports and design briefs.
•Review reports, method statements, design briefs, and drawings (contractor’s / fabrication drawings) submitted by subcontractors/vendors.

•EPC: Petro-Canada Montreal Coker Project (Montreal, Canada).
•EPC: Water separation unit, SHELL (Montreal, Canada).
•EPC: Various in-Plant Engineering Projects.
•Management responsibilities:
•Responsible for the Sour Water Unit within the structural department.
•Attend Minutes of meetings to review and update the schedule and set up deadlines as well as to discuss any potential problems that could arise.
•Produce weekly and monthly Engineering performance and progress reports.
•Verification of Engineering Work Packages to ensure that all construction and fabrication scope of work are covered as well as the quantities are within the required budget.
•Supervision of technicians including reviewing and checking all structural drawings.
•Coordinate with all engineering disciplines and recognize the application of own work on other disciplines.
•Prepare material take-off (MTO), cost estimations, and Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
•Prepare and attend a 3-D Model review with the client.
