Duties and Responsibilities

In charge of over 50 engineers in the Middle East/Gulf region, responsible to engineer and execute projects of different nature ranging from buildings, infrastructure and area development.

Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of MEP work & also meeting consistency with company strategy, goals in line with the Budgeted cost.

Demonstrate and use expert knowhow of the entire MEP part of construction projects in all its aspects: design, function, installations and coordination with other departments.

Administer the MEP design and execution between internal teams, clients & subcontractors. Provide the planning input for the MEP works and Monitor Planning vs. Progress on site.

Supervise the project progress and/or delays through letters which can be used as contractual aids
during disputes

Lead and control the document flows; Able to review resource reports like (manpower histograms, plant
and machinery schedule) and ascertain adequacy of resources deployed for timely completion of the project.

Audit the performance of MEP subcontractors. Implement/follow proper QHSE procedures as per the company/Governmental standards.

Lead technical coordination meetings with Clients, Subcontractors, Department Heads, PM¡¦s, MEP Managers and staff.

Provide technical input for offer requests and the awarding of MEP subcontracts to the contracts, procurement departments

Lead and Mentor a team of Mechanical and Electrical Managers and engineers.

Oversee and enforce the implementation of HSE by MEP Contractors.

Monitor and chase all post tender activities of construction until the handing over and completion of the defects liability period of the project

ROYAL BOLLYWOOD THEATRE, DUBAI PARKS, DUBAI

Position: MEP Manager, on a state of the Art project located in the Expo 2020 attraction center, Dubai Parks Project. The project is an 800 seats Theatre that includes the newest technologies of audio video lighting systems all integrated to provide a 5 stars ambiance and unforgettable experience.

Position: MEP Manager, The project is a Themed family water park which comprises of over 15 water slides including family raft, body and tube slides, LEGO Wave Pool, Build-A-Raft-River where you can build your own custom LEGO raft and DUPLO® toddler play area and slides . LAMER WATERPARK, JUMEIRAH - DUBAI

Position: MEP Manager, the project is a themed water park with giant slides and surfing facilities. The project is a design and build scope of work with a very tight duration which makes it a complex development given the logistics difficulties. Target completion 2018 first quarter.

Lead a team of Engineers overseeing design and supervision activities covering UAE and Malaysia works.
In charge of multiple projects from design stages till completion. Handled projects which are diversified in nature ranging from residential, offices, schools, resorts and industrial. Got involved in jobs that requires latest sustainable designs that complies with LEED / ESTIDAMA requirements.

Responsibilities:
 Directed project design team in preparation of project contract documentation which comprises of design drawings, specifications and Bills of quantities.
 Carried a complete review of design documents for MEP systems to achieve design intent and compliance with contract requirements
 Implemented changes to designs, specifications and schedules to accommodate conditions at construction site or to expedite construction
 Managed the project Testing and commissioning, close out and hand over processes
 Monitored contractor schedule, quality, safety measures and implemented corrective action where
required
 Daily review of Contractor submittals and execution plans
 Guided the contractors work under the contract until successful completion
 Protected the interest of client
 Witnessed and certified installations in full compliance with local and international codes
 Collected all necessary approvals from local authorities for infrastructure bulk connections

Anantara, the Palm hotel, resort and spa ( Role : Senior Engineer )
The Anantara hotel is a resort built on the crescent of Palm Jumeirah, featuring 293 hotel room Villas and over 450 condominium apartments. We required 5500 tons to cool the hotel and apartment spaces in addition to the gigantic lagoons temperature treatment. My scope as a Senior Mechanical Engineer was to design and supervise the mechanical and public health aspects of the project. Which included Buildings and infrastructure works for 90 Villas.

Corporate Bay Tower ( Role : Senior Design Engineer )

An office building 39 floors of mid-range office space. The building utilizes 1400 tons of cooling via district cooling system in that district. My scope Senior Engineer was to manage the design of electromechanical systems though out the design and tendering phase and ensure the complete technical satisfaction of the client.

Fortune Towers ( Role : Senior Design Engineer )
Office towers (3 no's) 19 floors each of core and shell finish with extra ordinary facades. My scope Senior Engineer was to manage the design of electromechanical systems though out the design and tendering phase and ensure the complete technical satisfaction of the client.

GEMS WORLD ACADEMY Phase 2 GEMS WILLINGTON ACADEMY Phase 2 DUBAI MODERN HIGH SCHOOL

Design and supervision of high standard schools in Dubai. Variety of air-conditioning technologies were used on these three schools in order to provide the best studying climate for students and the teaching staff. We also provided all sort of facilities designs including gyms, pools, auditoriums etc. My scope Senior Engineer was to design and supervise the electromechanical systems though out the design and tendering phase and ensure the complete technical satisfaction of the client

Led a mechanical engineering team to design mechanical services for various types of projects including schools, office buildings, residential buildings and hotels. Services included HVAC, Plumbing, fire protection, gas networks. In addition to special services i.e. energy studies, feasibility studies and preparation for LEED/Estidama certification/Sustainable Design.
Responsibilities:
 Responsible for production of complete mechanical tender documents.
 Design of building engineering systems and plants to achieve their intended function within budget.
 Prepare drawings and calculations for review and approval by the Local Authorities.
 Process approvals to facilitate building permits in compliance with local Regulations.
 Conduct regular site visits to ensure the work compliance with contract documentation.
 Coordination with other Engineering trades to insure in house coordinated designs.
 Provide technical backup/clarifications for Site Engineers and attend site meetings where required.
 Attend meetings with various parties (Clients, Suppliers, Local Authorities, etc.) to clarify/confirm
requirements, scope of work.

Anantara 'Jumeirah Lakes Towers' Hotel, Apartments & Offices (Cluster Z) (Role: Design Engineer)
Design of three high-rise tower blocks on a common podium, comprising a 49 story five star hotel, a 44 story furnished apartment building, a 44 story office block, and associated parking facilities .My scope as a Design Team Leader covered all mechanical systems design of the project until tender.

DEC TOWERS DUBAI MARINA ( Role : Design and supervision Engineer )
A residential complex composed of Two towers- Tower 1(21 floors), Tower 2 (25 floors) with plush 5 level podium. The project included cafes, restaurants, shopping boulevard equipped with luxurious amenities. The building was cooled using water cooled chillers and cooling towers of total capacity of 2000 Tons along with 12 MW of electric power. My scope as a Team Leader was to design and supervise the mechanical and public health aspects of the project and overlook the electrical design in addition to obtaining all relevant authority approvals.

Intercontinental staff accommodation Dubai Silicon oasis ( Role : Design Engineer )
A residential complex which comprises of 5 blocks 414 apartments with a mix of 1 to 3 bedroom apartments, and provide accommodation for all staff up to management level. The complex included various technologies to ease operation and reduce maintenance cost on the project clients. My scope was to design and supervise the electromechanical systems though out the design and tendering phase and ensure the complete technical satisfaction of the client.
