I am part of the executive committee team, which is managing a group of 12 companies in the Middle East region. I am
responsible for the financial side of management, investments and corporate structure, and responsible to direct the Companies' financial planning and investments, providing advice to the board and CEO on directions to venture for new business or changes to current businesses as well as manage relationship with leading institutes and shareholders.
Restructured debt agreements for the company and created budgeting and planning role in the company.
I was responsible to lead the company's financial planning and accounting affairs as well as its banking relations in addition to financial reporting to the CEO and the board of directors
Co-created a Middle East team which served as a hub to Middle East practice where my team used to be called in for mega projects and transactions in different Middle East countries.
I was leading a team of professional staff to deliver projects all over the Middle East region where we served clients in KSA, UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Iraq, Jordan and Egypt. I gained extensive experience in financial advisory covering financial transactions, raising equity and debt, valuation, financial strategy, financial feasibility and financial modeling.
Major Projects:
Private Capital Transactions Group - (UAE) Dubai: I was a part of the team handling the Middle East Private Capital and Sovereign Wealth Funds. A list of the major clients I worked with ICD, Dubai World, Limitless, Istithmar, Nakheel, SGRF/ Oman Investment Fund, Qatar Investment Authority, etc.
Our focus was mainly on debt refinancing, mergers, acquisitions, sales of assets, which included, valuations, financial modeling, due diligence, marketing of assets to potential buyers, IPO readiness, etc.
Suez Industrial Economic Zone- National Real Estate Co. - Kuwait/ Egypt: I led the team of the Engagement to assist the Client in compiling the financial component of an RFP document to be submitted to the Government, including the following: Development of a financial model to address the RFP requirements, collaborate with the client and the technical and marketing advisors to populate the financial model, conduct requisite financial analysis in support of the pricing decision and scenarios.
Dhofar Power Company SAOG (DPC) - (Oman) Company Restructuring & Regulatory Filing: I was leading the Quality Assurance on the financial deliverables with a role in the program management office on the Dhofar Power Company project where it is in the process of unbundling its operations into Generation, Transmission and Distribution which will be operated and regulated in line with international practice.
Ministry of Water and Electricity (MoWE) - (Saudi Arabia) Jeddah PPP: I was the project manager on the financial advisory of MoWE’s privatization of Jeddah City as I led the team to develop the Financial Models for the management contract of water and concession agreement for wastewater of 20 years. As well, I supervised the preparation of the valuation of assets and financial strategy of the privatization options of Jeddah PPP transaction and I was in charge for the PMO team of the project in Jeddah.
Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) - (Saudi Arabia): I led the financial modeling team to develop a 20 year financial model for the first 20 years of operations in order to determine the revenue requirements and initial capital structure. I also supervised the development of the assets valuation and the funding reports and risk analysis
Reconciliation Services for Iraqi External Debt - (Iraq) Ministry of Finance: I was the Project Management Office (PMO) - project director assistant- responsible for managing all project related work plans, deliverables, budget, client relations, and other project related administrative tasks. Moreover, I was involved in the establishment of the Iraqi Debt Management Office in terms of policies and procedures and system implementation.
Bahrain Ministry of Electricity & Water - (Manama, Bahrain)
- Participated in Bahrain Reform and Restructuring of Electricity and Water Sector Project.
- Responsible for development of the financial model which supported the strategic options for reforming the sector.
Power & Water Utility Company (MARAFIQ) - (Jubail, Saudi Arabia)
MARAFIQ is a utility company that serves the industrial cities of Jubail and Yanbu. I had supported the CEO and the president of MARAFIQ in the implementation of the company strategy. I managed the financial model as to study the viability of privatization process which included forecasting MARAFIQ Balance sheet, Income Statement and Cash flow for 15 years.
