The primary duties of a Quality nurse specialist are monitoring patient care, analyzing the processes and procedures used in patient care and ensuring all patients receive care based on these standards.
Quality Nurse Specialist have the following roles in Acute Hospital 200 Beds (OPD, ER, OR, DSU, Endoscopy, ICU, PICU, NICU, RDU, OBS/GYN and In-patients)but not limited to:
- Initiate, monitor and educate the Nursing KPIs.
- Perform Internal Nursing audits to maintain and support nursing practice compliance to meet the best practice.
- Facilitate and support the implementation of patient safety program.
- Support and facilitate the Nursing department Quality manual.
- Facilitate the education and implementation of Accreditation Standards.eg: JCI, CIBAHI...
- Facilitate and implement the Hospital and Department Quality Project.
- Monitor and support Nursing Staff documentation by Open, Closed and focus chart review.
- Liaising closely with the Education Department for the development of training programs for staff.
- Helps in research studies. This includes assisting in subject recruitment, study implementation, management and collection of data and maintenance of project documentation.
- Support and monitor any nursing improvement plan.

Responsibilities :-
- Maintain the safe environment for the staff and the patient and ensure that the service delivery carried to all patients in safe practice.
- Staffing management and plan.
- Ensure that the care provided to all patient based on evidence based practice and compatible with hospital P&P.
- Continuous measurement of nurses performance in statistical model
- Enhance the culture of creativities and education among nurses staff
- Adhere to participative leadership style to encourage all nurses for innovation

Main Responsibility: - General Medical Unit In SBAHC contain of 24 beds with ratio 1 to 6 as primary care protocol., General medical Unit receives All medical case and stroke patients
The ICCU in Al Khalidy medical centre contains of 18 beds at that time receiving all kind of critical care patients adult and pediatrics, medical, surgical, neuro, cardiac and isolation needed such as post bone marrow and kidney transplant patients.as ratio 1: 1
ER Nurse and Team leader working as triage nurse responsible for All narcotic drug, responsible for all critical cases
This 3-day course is designed to train qualified EFQM Assessors, as well as provide a more detailed understanding of the EFQM Excellence Model and the RADAR Logic.
