Within the engineering and construction function, in addition to quantity surveying, cost/time control, and contract
administration expertise to work on complex projects, I am managing and coordinating with other departments for
providing an effective project control and a fully reliable forecasted total project costs.
I am reporting directly to the Project Manager and PMO Manager, and I am responsible for all cost control services
including but not limited to those of quantity take‐off, cost estimating, budget control, cost tracking, cost forecasting,
cost reporting, and cost risk analysis.
In fact, my role interacts daily with all Project Team members.

• Major Responsibilities
» Studying and understanding all relevant project documents relating to contractual terms and conditions.
» Preparing the Client Payment Application along with the supported documents ( approved DWG ‐ approved RFIs ‐ financial
clearances of the approved vendors and project contractual staff ‐ etc. ), taking the client signatures and approvals,
submitting, and following till the payment received.
» Analyzing of the priced BOQ, analyzing, checking, reviewing, monitoring, and controlling of project budgets.
» Preparing the forecasted cash flow as per the approved time schedule and sharing with finance team.
» Administration of sub‐contracts service agreements, purchase orders, and its related subsequent variations orders.
» Supporting sub‐contract negotiations of terms and conditions.
» Working with different departments (PMO ‐ Finance ‐ Procurement) within the organization to analyze and solidify an
overall contract control strategy.
• Major duties:
» Preparing take‐offs of civil/structural elements and architectural works from engineering drawings and specifications.
» Reviewing take‐offs of MEP works to check for completeness, appropriate definition, and accuracy.
» Preparing the purchase, subcontractor, equipment requisition and following with procurement department till finalizing
the POs and SOs.
» Certifying invoices of Subcontractors and preparing their interim payments.
» Monitoring the materials issued rom the project warehouse.
» Monitoring of project man‐hours and internal costs.
» Estimating the related units of materials, labors, equipment and calculating of time and cost for each activity.
» Preparing and maintain the estimates and budgets in coordination with the site staff.
» Preparing and developing net cash flow forecasts.
» Identifying opportunities for cost reduction and cash savings.
» Monitoring of actual cost for labors, equipment, subcontractors and other committed cost.
» Periodically updating the monthly actual and committed cost reports.
» Preparing actual productivity sheets and curves for budget comparison.

» Preparing take‐offs of civil/structural elements and architectural works from engineering drawings and specifications.
» Reviewing take‐offs of MEP works to check for completeness, appropriate definition, and accuracy.
» Verifying, checking, and certifying invoices of suppliers/subcontractors and preparing their interim payments.
» Monitoring subcontractor’s performance, and ensure the deliverables are accurately executed satisfied, and complying to contractual terms ( Delivery Mode ‐ Delivery schedule ‐ Payment Milestones ‐ L/C Terms ‐ LD Penalties ).
» Reporting the status of each sub‐contract to high management.
» Identifying & preparation of Subcontractors variations justification.
» Monitoring of the equipment costs.

» Reviewing tender documents and checking for accurate quantities from tender drawings.
» Preparing pre‐contract BOQs, specifications, and drawings for submitting RFQs.
» Developing subcontract bid packages, and reach out to the local supplier/subcontractor.
» Managing RFQs, sending out inquiries, obtain competitive offers, comparing with tender, negotiation upon receipt.
» Analyzing various offers of Suppliers/subcontractors depending on a technical and commercial reviews.
» Maintain subcontract documentation and material Supplier's database.

» Reviewing all related drawings and specifications prior to beginning construction.
» Understanding and following OH&S procedures and responsible for personal safety safe working practices.
» Planning the execution of all civil related works, analyzing all possible construction methodologies, recommending the best options to the Project Manager & HSE Engineer for approval prior execution, and coordinating the works to electrical
and mechanical groups.
» Generally responsible for implementations of all civil works at the site, and implementing the prescribed quality control measures throughout the life of the project.
» Coordinating with Consultant’s representatives for any site instructions or inspection of works and preparing material submittals, and inspection requests.
» Managing directly all the civil workgroups at the site and providing engineering and technical supports.
» Working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system.
» Assign targets for accomplishments and ensure targets are met on a daily basis for all the civil groups at site.
» Submitting site daily reports, and preparing cost, labor, material, and work day estimates on a daily basis and as required.
» Advising on procurement strategy and Preparing the materials list.
» Ensuring the requisitions of subcontracts and POs are prepared and submitted on time.
» Reviewing and assisting in the preparation of monthly subcontracts status report.
» Drafting contractual letters correspondences of clients or subcontractors.
» Undertaking conditions of the contract, resolving disputes between subcontracting parties and advising on contractual
claims.
» Manage and value variation orders.
» Preparing account statements and interim/final payment certificates.
» Reviewing and Analyzing petty cash expenses and allocate amounts to each item for accumulating actual costs.

Duties:
» Acting as the project engineer for projects of moderate difficulty.
» Creating the project management calendar for fulfilling each goal and objective.
» Coordinating project management activities, resources, equipment and information.
» Acting as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants.
» Helping to prepare budgets and overseeing project procurement management.
» Assigning tasks to subcontracts teams and assisting with schedule management.
» Maintaining and monitoring the project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets, expenditures, and handling any
issues that arise.
» Attending and participating in the site meetings, and following up on the important actions and decisions taken from
meetings.
» Analyzing opportunities, assessing project risks and issues, and working with the Projects Manager to eliminate blockers.
» Following all legal paperwork (e.g. Municipality Licenses).
» Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports.
» Ensuring standards and requirements are met through conducting quality control tests.
» Ensuring adherence to the project framework and all the documents is maintained appropriately for each project.
