Local Senior Project Manager for the New Correctional Facilities Complex of Kuwait, the project is intended to be a step towards the future for the ministry of interior. The envisioned facility will provide a state of the Art technology to safeguard the community and rehabilitate and educate those who will later integrate with the general public. The project consists of Men Prison, Women Prison, Rehabilitation & Training Center, Prison Services and the Prison Hospital of 140 beds, and valued at 500 Million KD.
ôº Manage the various functions of the under design Projects.
ôº Manage and administer the tasks of the Project managers in
charge of the different highly appointed Company Projects.
ôº Manage the various functions of the Under Construction
Projects inside and outside Kuwait.
ôº Provide technical guidance and assistance to the Top
Management.
ôº Evaluate the Staff performance.
ôº Oversee the pre-qualification of tenderers and recommends
the qualified contractors for the construction of various
projects.
ôº Oversee the Consultant’s tender documents to ensure
competitive bids are received and review the consultants bid
review and recommendation reports.
ôº Oversee the conduct of design reviews; participate in value
engineering workshops and regular design coordination
meetings.
ôº Oversee the commencement of the contracts and familiarize
with the budgetary requirements and cash flow projections.
ôº Oversee and monitor the construction progress of the
Company projects and identify potential setbacks and issue
remedial directives.
ôº Oversee the processing of variation orders and payment
certificates.
ôº Oversee and supervise the contractual close-out of projects
and handing over to Operations Division.
ôº Prepare Monthly and annual reports on the Division
operations.
Carrying out the full project management tasks, managing the projects from design through construction documents production and construction administration tasks for various projects in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
- Manage and administer the tasks of the Project managers in charge of the different highly appointed Company Projects.
- Manage the various functions of the Construction Department.
- Provide technical guidance and assistance to the Staff & Management.
- Oversee the pre-qualification of tenderers and recommends the qualified contractors for the construction of various projects.
- Oversee the Consultant’s tender documents to ensure competitive bids are received and review the consultants bid review and recommendation reports.
- Recommend awarding the construction contracts to suitable tenderers.
- Oversee the commencement of the contracts and familiarize with the budgetary requirements and cash flow projections.
- Oversee and monitor the construction progress of the Company projects and identify potential setbacks and issue remedial directives.
- Oversee the processing of variation orders and payment certificates.
- Oversee and supervise the contractual close-out of projects and handing over to Operations Department.
- Prepare trimestrial and annual reports on the Department operations.
- Manage and administer the progress of the Department Staff and direct their appointment for different Projects in accordance with their capabilities and merits.
- Oversee the designer’s performance in the conduct of design programs according to the established packaging strategy, including adherence to schedule, cost, codes, design coordination, and the production of construction tender documents.
- Oversee the conduct of design reviews; participate in value engineering workshops and regular design coordination meetings.
- Oversee the preparation and compilation of tender documentation by the consultant offices.
- Perform design activities familiarizing with design implementation through the use of Auto Cad software.
- Establish and maintain relationships between the Client, and the government authorities, the consultants and the contractors, to ensure the proper delivery of the services for which the Client has contracted.
- Attend and represent the Owner at major and special meetings as requested by the Client and as required in the normal course of the project’s operational period.
- Oversee, review and analyze the pre-qualification of tenderers for various projects and prepare recommendation reports for the concerned Clients.
- Participate & Oversee the preparation of the Drawings and tender documents for various projects, to ensure competitive bids are received, and review the tabulation and analysis of the tenders.
- Oversee and monitor the construction progress of various projects through site inspections and meetings. Identify any potential setbacks and recommend solutions to the Chief Engineer.
- Oversee and administer the processing of variation orders and payment certificates and liaise with project manager for expediting the processing.
- Oversee and supervise the contractual close-out of various projects and their hand over to the end user.
- Prepare monthly reports on the projects.
- Establish and maintain relationships with the the consultants and the Sub-contractors, to ensure the proper delivery of the services for which the Client has contracted.
- Monitor and report on the development, refinement, and execution of the Sub-contractors’ activities pertaining to the construction operations and advise the project manager.
- Attend and represent the Company at progress and special meetings as requested by the Consultant and Client and as required in the normal course of the project’s operational period.
- Assign qualified permanent staff to positions in a timely fashion.
- Oversee, review and transmit Daily & monthly reports to the project manager.
