• Providing consulting expertise to deploy and upgrade the Optical Networks for SNFN Mobily Network (17, 000 km fiber network with 8 National DWDM Rings and 3 Metro Rings and 8 SDH Rings and Each DWDM ring capacity is 80 channel and carrying 10G and 40G and 100G lambdas using Cisco ONS-15454)
• Design Optical network level robustness, stability, interoperability and customer acceptance tests.
• Responsible and participating in the lab and field trials for the optical technologies
• Supporting the Testing and teams by referencing all the measured factors to the design and also supporting in troubleshooting.
• Complete testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of the individual CISCO DWDM, SDH and XC connect systems plus the configuration and the integration of these systems into the optical SDH core network and DCN (DIGITAL COMMUNICATION NETWORK) using CISCO 3400 switches.
• Complete testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of the individual KEYMILE UMUX 1500 PDH systems plus the integration of these systems with the SDH systems network and the DCN.
• Monitoring the FOC network through JDSU ACTERNA ONMS (OPTICAL NETWORK MANAGEMENT SYSTEM), with the assistance of OFM (OPTICAL FIBER MAP).
• Complete FOC (FIBER OPTIC CABLE) characterization testing, using JDSU ACTERNA test equipment.
• Analyses the customer's requirements and the competition
• Specifies the response strategy in line with the strategy of the unit and the Group (price and cost objectives, choice of products, technical solutions, action plans, industrial arrangements and partnerships, if any)
• Draws up the quotation and the technical and commercial bid
• Presents and promotes the bid, working closely with the sales representative and contract manager
• Organizes bid reviews and obtains internal approval, in particular on risks and profitability, following the “Tender vet” process
